Action packed
Revisado: 06-10-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Probably not. Some of the language choices were a little odd, which left me a little confused in places, and the story doesn't flow very well, probably because of how much story is crammed into a shorter book.
What did you like best about this story?
The world creation dealing with the cave was great, I was left wanting to know more about the cave, and the First ones, and what happens to Bobby.
What about Meghan Kelly’s performance did you like?
Meghan Kelly did a great job keeping me interested in the book when I would have stopped listening. The personalities of the characters shine through in their voices.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Bobby's eyes started glowing in the cave, and you know something is about to happen.

Short, action packed romance.
Revisado: 06-03-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely. It's nice & short, so easy to listen to in one setting, but has excellent character development and a well-placed plot, so it doesn't feel rushed or drag on.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Alpha's Domain?
Sally's unexpected electrifying moment ties it all together & ends up helping Ben more than either could have imagined.
Have you listened to any of Veronica Heart’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, and if you haven't listened to one before, it might be a good idea to listen to the sample first. Veronica's voice and speech patterns are a bit different, and I see some other reviewers felt that detract from the story. I found that it helped me appreciate the otherworldliness of the setting & feel the supernatural aspects better.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely, and it's a great length to do so.
Any additional comments?
This is the first book in this series, and I loved it and plan on listening to the others. I believe characters from the previous books in the series make quick cameos, but not in ways that will spoil them if you listen out of order.

Sweet as cupcakes
Revisado: 05-29-16
If you could sum up The Cupcake Witch in three words, what would they be?
Sweet, short, emotional
What does Hollie Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The first few minutes I was wondering whether or not I would like the book at all, as it's not like the books I normally listen to. Hollie quickly got me involved in the story, however, with her voice conveying real & appropriate emotion, and the voices matching the characters perfectly.
Any additional comments?
This book is the second in a series; having not listened to the first book I didn't feel I had had it spoiled for me; from reading the blurb of the first book, the characters from it do make a cameo in this one. I loved this book so much I'll be getting every one of them as they come out; the characters seem so real, and I hope the secondary characters in this book such as Horatio's sister and friends will be getting their own stories.

Historia
Brutha is the Chosen One. His god has spoken to him, admittedly while currently in the shape of a tortoise. Brutha is a simple lad. He can't read. He can't write. He's pretty good at growing melons. And his wants are few. He wants to overthrow a huge and corrupt church. He wants to prevent a horribly holy war.

Not really like the other Discworld books
Revisado: 04-28-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely. I've yet to find a Terry Pratchett book I haven't loved, and would do anything I can do to expose others to how great the Discworld books are.
What did you like best about this story?
It deals with possibly controversial subject matter in a way that is very thought provoking, and exposes readers to different viewpoints.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh quite frequently. There are also a few bits which are quite sad
Any additional comments?
It's quite clearly still set in the Discworld universe, yet manages to feel quite different by featuring unique characters and settings. I believe it's also set in the past of the main Discworld books.

Historia
Uilleam MacRieve, a centuries-old Lykae warrior, was captured, caged, and experimented on by a shadowy human order, along with other immortals. During a prison break that devolved into one of the bloodiest massacres in recent history, he escapes. But the aftermath of his unspeakable torture preys on his damaged mind, while the wolf inside him roars for vengeance and carnage. In the days leading up to the full moon, can MacRieve rein in his beast, even when he encounters his mate - a vexingly impossible female unlike anything he'd ever dreamed for himself?

Unexpected
Revisado: 04-28-16
What other book might you compare Macrieve: Immortals After Dark, Book 14 to and why?
The other books in the Immortals After Dark series, especially the ones focusing on the other Lykae or the events/ characters on the island. It's probably best to listen to them in order to avoid spoilers, as many of the characters overlap books.
What about Robert Petkoff’s performance did you like?
Robert Petkoff's performance made this book absolutely awesome, like all of his books I have listened to. The voices, the emotions, the performance greatly enhances the book, which is already good, to another level. After listening to so many Kresley Cole books that have been narrated by Robert Petkoff, I hear his voice in my head when I'm reading anyway, especially if one of the characters is crossing over from another book in the series and already has a voice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
How much pain is too much to bear alone?
Any additional comments?
I found this book quite a bit deeper/darker than a lot of the other Immortals After Dark books, as some of the memories deal with abuse, so this book might not be suitable for some people.

Historia
From Snuff: Vimes looked at the cover. The title was The World of Poo. When his wife was out of eyeshot he carefully leafed through it. Well, okay, you had to accept that the world had moved on and these days’ fairy stories were probably not going to be about twinkly little things with wings. As he turned page after page, it dawned on him that whomever had written this book, they certainly knew what would make kids like Young Sam laugh until they were nearly sick. The bit about sailing down the river almost made him smile.

Absolutely Charming
Revisado: 04-28-16
What did you love best about The World of Poo?
Although it's probably more intended as a children's book, it still has all of Terry Pratchett's wit and appeal for adults. I may have snickered to myself throughout the book, but this was based more on the humour than anything juvenile.
What did you like best about this story?
It treats the subject matter a lot more maturely than one might think, and makes one think more about poo than they normally would. Also, the book has little consistencies with the other Discworld books, so you definitely feel that it adds to the setting.
What does Helen Atkinson-Wood bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The contrast between her voice and the subject matter adds to the experience, and the voices were done very well. I think if I were to have read the book rather than listened to it, some of the characters may not have seemed so 'real'.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The grandmother encouraging her grandson's interest in discovering more about the world around him & how it works, albeit through "The World of Poo" is moving, especially contrasted with the other lady's reaction upon finding the boy's collection.
