Interesting story but feels too orchestrated
Revisado: 10-12-24
it is meant to feel orchestrated...so it's an interesting premise and the twists aren't ones you'd see coming. good read

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Good message but flawed story and a bad example of how relationships should be
Revisado: 09-12-24
This book frustrated me so much until the last 10 or so chapters. While I didn't love the gushy inner narration of Miles and Tate, the eventual story itself was beautiful and painful and worth it. It sucked that Tate kept hoping he would fall in love with her despite Miles telling her he didn't want more (and that he felt he could be mad at her for doing so when his words and actions clearly didn't match) - and it was annoying that effectively it resulted in fboi behaviour from Miles. But...people need to want to save themselves.... you can't always tell the genuine guys from the players and you can't rely on someone going against everything you tell them, in order to give you reason to save yourself.
All in all, I get the message...and I hope everyone who has had to experience the kind of earth shattering pain that makes love ugly, can also find a way to keep going to experience the magic and beauty of love.

Relevant story but missing a climax
Revisado: 12-29-23
This story highlighted some of the less obvious forms of abuse such as mental abuse and that was great. However there was not much of a storyline, no build up or climax, and it almost felt like the story started at the end and then just went on describing life after the divorce for Hannah. That was disappointing.

I honestly struggled to follow the story as it jumped between her therapy session and past and wherever else it went. Gave up after chapter 1 because life's too short for books you're not enjoying

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is that story at last.

Eye-opening and Heart-wrenching
Revisado: 02-02-23
Listening to Harry tell his story, completely changed any misconceptions I had about the glamourous life of a royal. It was heartbreaking to hear about how poorly he was treated by his own "loved" ones and frankly horrifying to hear about the harrassment from the press and paparazzi. I remember adoring Meghan from her days in Suits and when we found out she was dating Harry, we were delighted and remarked about how lucky she was to be marrying a prince and becoming a princess. How misinformed we were to think in that way, when in fact their lives were made miserable by ruthless journalists and photographers. I also found Harry's military journey to be very insightful and found that it painted a clearer picture of what life in the army was like. There are always two sides to a story, but going on the facts, it's clear that leaving the monarchy was the only option for the Sussex's and the best choice if they ever want to give their kids a chance to live a free life.

I was reluctant to start CoHo books thinking they wouldn't live up to the hype, but this book blew me away in the way she brought these characters to life. It was terrifying at times and shocking too, but a very intriguing and perplexing story!

Revisado: 11-16-22
A good book illustrating the profound effect of circumstances on who we become. What we are exposed to growing up deeply impacts the people we become and without a strong support structure, it's almost impossible to change.

Deeper than you may think
Revisado: 10-25-22
I found this book quite interesting and compelling. Despite the backdrop being the erotic stories, the book goes deeper into concepts such as community, honour and questions the unwarranted shame that engulfs members of any conservative community when deviating from the expectations and boundaries of society. The erotic stories too are beautifully written, tasteful without ever being crude.
