This series has some of the most detailed historical depictions that have ever been told. Taking it, along with other historical documentation of the time, including the writings from India, the Holy Bible, the Koran and so forth, a very clear thread begins to form a tapestry of history which encompasses the beginning of our time, lends credible conclusions to events that are still contemplated today, and weaves the sciences of geology, archaeology, and anthropology, with theology, philosophy, and the religious beliefs found throughout the world today.
The narration is done in a conversational way that keeps the material lively with welcome evidential commentary instead of the dry lecture that this type of material usually breeds.
Anyone interested in history, or, religion, philosophy, geology…or just love an outright fantastical tale, this series will keep you listening and thinking.

Outstanding story…try to stay with the narrators

Outstanding story. I had to really commit to it. Felt like the narrators had to find their groove…And still missed in parts. Stay with it. It’s worth it so far. I’m hopeful going into book 2.

There are nine books in the series and I’ve listened through them four times. Best narrator and a phenomenal story weaved together with a master stroke.

Very VERY Adult!

Brandon and Mary are a great combo

They got together and really got it out of the park. This was a great listen in foreground and background listening. Great pace and they really kept the story as original as I had hoped.

I’ve been looking to get into Sanderson for a while, but everything is done by M. Kramer and Kate Reading…just can’t get into their narration.. at all. This was a great production and a really good way to experience Sanderson’s writing style.
