Meghan Quinn knows how to write a book.
This is my second read from her and both books have been 10/10! She knows how to keep a balance of everything. Sadness, happiness, suspense, erotic.
On to my next read from her

Pretty good pic. Not drawn out or overly sexual lacking content. Good build up and ending. Also not too long

Because of this read, I’m going to dive into all other works produced by Meghan. I normally have a hard time commiting to reads over 8 hours but this story kept me captivated and intrigued. Meghan definitely has a way with story telling. Can’t wait to experience her other works.

Good book with a good concept and able to have the reader guessing. Good way of Bringing everything together at the end and how a simple yet harmless decision/mistake can cause havoc.

A 5 year old ? A 5 year old
This story really opens your eyes to the struggles of an entirely different world.

Over in the west we complain about simple things, others are in more dire and life and death situations.

Imagine how a mother feels, where her children are roaming the streets and she can’t properly look after them because she’s working.

Imagine if you have to beg for money food and work.

Imaging eating anything you come across just to ease the pain of hunger.

Imagine getting lost at such a young age, defying the odds, surviving, and being reunited with family as well as being blessed with another family including having a better life where you’re able to then provide for your family.

Imagine how one choice led you down a path of struggle which then led to a better life altogether.

Wonderful book

Out of all the books of the series, this is either number 1 or number 2, but I can’t decide because it’s difficult to distinct which one captures first spot. It’s a tough race been Cake, the first of the series, and this one, the last. Nevertheless, every Book is amazingly written and each story is spot on. How can each part of a series capture you ?

This read is based on Emma, bouncing from past to present, letting the readers know why her present circumstances are the way they are. Unlike her younger siblings Emma, doesn’t venture into relationships or want them, nor does she desire kids. She’s the oldest child and a woman, therefore the pressure is heaped on her to be a wife and a mother and to find someone at any cost. It’s not until Fin comes along that she has a taste at what she’s been missing and she finds herself falling hard and fast. Not only is Fin attractive but their chemistry and the way they interact with one another has Emma reeling in joyous feelings. It’s sort of that love at first sight type occurence where Emma and Fin move fast, but the emotions they’re both feeling makes it warranted.

After some time, She then realizes their desires aren’t compatible and she cuts things off out of love for him so he can have the life he wants, because she can’t be the person he wants or needs her to be. And then something happens where maybe their love story isn’t finished yet!

This is a read based around family, forgiveness, second chances, past traumas, sacrifice, love, hope and happiness. this book gives the readers an array of feelings and tugs of the heart. The characters are all unique and integrated within one another that brings out a togetherness and family unit that’s admirable.
I thought Casey and Jake May have been the favorite couple out of this series, but maybe, just maybe it’s Emma and Fin.

The book states that some of Egypt’s most prosperous times came from when women were ruling.
It also states how often women would govern the country through a rough and unprosperous times. But it never goes into detail on how they did it and the methods they implemented because you really want to know how different their rulings were from the men and what can be learned from them.

Rather the book, is focused on how the woman came into ruling and I feel it’s more of a feminjsI thought it would about the methods

If you’re going to bring forth a topic that highlights the strengths of women, include that in the book and now how hard it was for women to thrive in a men dominated society.
Include hows women’s strengths allowed them to gain statuses over them getting it by chance or for the family line to remain in tact.
Women have many strengths but it doesn’t tie into this book nor does it mirror the the women of history who were involved in determinant matters

I feel the author brought up the strengths of women but didn’t have historical evidence to prove how they were great rulers because even so many tried to remove women rulers. Maybe due for their own selfish reasons.

The author was also focused on bashing men to further her argument which didn’t provide much strength because if you have to make someone look less then to higjtlifjt strengths then

One of her mains points is stating how women aren’t as aggressive as men and how many wars could have been avoided if women n were in power back in the day

Its also contradictory because if mothers and aunts influenced their king sons then the wars and battles were the choices of the women so where does the blame lie ?

Rating 4.8/5
What My rating is based off of.

5 - favorite book collection, a book I’ll purchase and leave on a shelf labeled my favorites and something I’ll definitely share with others.
4 - tremendously good but not something where I’ll go out my way to share unless conversation deems it worthy.
3 - a fair book. Just okay. This rating happens when a book gathers my interest but doesn’t keep my intrigued, or isn’t put together properly.

2 and below. - not even worth your time.

This book in my opinion is really good but nothing I would consider an all time favorite.
It’s a mix of romance, mystery and suspense. Collin is a character that’s been caught up and nearly sent to prison. His past isn’t pretty and it sort of gives an excuse as to why he is the way he is.

He decides to turn his life around but often finds himself struggling to keep his cool and to stay out of trouble.

Maria is a lawyer, and with that territory comes an array of issues that for Maria may not stay buried.

Collin and Maria meet on the road side where Collin helps her with a flat tire.
Strangely enough Collin and Maria are then introduced to one another through Maria’s sister Sarina who is in Collins class, and that begins the love affair of the two.

However both Maria and Collins past keeps popping up and puts strain on the love they’re trying to cultivate. Collin is one act away from being behind bars, and Maria’s past is hunting her down, literally. With Collin deeply in love with Maria and wanting to protect her at all costs he has to find a way to keep his cool for both he and her sake.

Would I recommend you using your time to read this? : definitely - it’s not an overtly romantic read and the mystery keeps the interest flowing.

Eligible to be on the screen as a movie/tv series? - definitely

first off... everyone is raving about how WONDERFUL, this read is and I dont understand why. It was okay but it wasn't like WOW!

the book starts off with two couples who meet up. there's something that sparks past issues having one couple curious about the other. Hen assumes and is convinced that Matt was strongly involved with a murder that happened some time ago. she tries to figure it out herself but she takes some time in doing so, all the while having everyone fight against her deeming her crazy because of her past issues.

spoiler

This book is basically about a guy that has “good intentions” and acts as a vigilante but also has dark issues he has to sort out thats fueling his actions. Hen wants to find out why matt kills and matt wants to remain under the radar. Most of the book is based on him evading prison and her trying to make sense of the past. Near the end was when everything starting picking up and coming together but how it ended wasn’t even worth all that wait and reading. AT LEAST create some sort of crazy plot twist that has the reader satisfied.

Cons - took forever to get to the part where it started getting juicy.

This book outlines the struggles some women have with child bearing and the lengths they go to have a child.
It also brings to light that no matter how famous or financially well off one may be, that won’t remove all your issues and in fact may sometimes increase them.
This book though fiction, speaks on the dark side of fame and what people will do to remain famous and well off and how ethics and morals are thrown out the window in order to remain significant.

This book tells the tale of two struggles coming together to in a sense move forward in life.
One a single mother, who struggles to make ends meet and is less fortunate, and the other, a wealthy couple who
relies on others for child birth.

A pro is that the concept of the story is intriguing and encourages curiosity to discover how things turn out.
However it really isn’t mapped out correctly, until like the end when it starts gaining lots of friction.

I had read a review that stated there were lots of plot twists? Where? Majority of the story was about the conflicts between the wife and the woman who was responsible for child rearing. More like a soap opera and drama filled. I also believe it was overhyped because the book started off good and the ending was good but the middle was drawn out.

I also beleive there were conflicting statements.
((Spoiler))

The wife stated that she wanted the younger woman around to keep her husband interested and at home rather then having him away doing a pack of nonsense. If this was the case, why hold the woman against her will? If the husband really was an alpha male and charming and charismatic who is also able to get any woman he desires, why didn’t he just use his charms on her to keep the young woman around?

I had used my audible credit for this book and I regret it.
