Historia
Alan returns to podcasting, offering his unique perspective on life’s big questions, the hot-button issues of the day, his professional successes and the most intimate details of his personal life in a series he is already calling ‘seminal’. The second series will come partly from the oasthouse—in order to satisfy people who'd rather he didn’t mess with the format—and partly from other locations—to appeal to those who found the original format a bit limiting.

Historia
In 2012, Beck Dorey-Stein is working five part-time jobs and just scraping by when a posting on Craigslist lands her, improbably, in the Oval Office as one of Barack Obama’s stenographers. The ultimate DC outsider, she joins the elite team who accompany the president wherever he goes, recorder and mic in hand. On whirlwind trips across time zones, Beck forges friendships with a dynamic group of fellow travelers - young men and women who, like her, leave their real lives behind to hop aboard Air Force One in service of the president.

Interesting memoir
Revisado: 11-06-19
interesting look behind the scenes at the White House during the Obama administration through the eyes of author Beck Dorey Stein who was a stenographer as well as her love life as a 20-something in D.C. A bit long and often sounded like it was about to end but then continued. I do like her writing style--peppy and keeps moving.

Fascinating
Revisado: 10-20-19
A fascinating family drama that touches on universal themes--parent/child and sibling relationships, broken families, behaviors handed down from one generation to the next, and, I think, though it was just touched on here, the position of immigrants in a new society.

Historia
When Pat accepts her narcissistic ex-boyfriend Bruce's invitation for coffee, she has no idea of the complications in her romantic and professional life that will follow. Meanwhile, Matthew, her boss at the art gallery, attracts the attention of the police after a misunderstanding at the local bookstore. Whether caused by small things such as a cup of coffee and a book, or major events such as Stuart's application for promotion and his wife Irene's decision to pursue a PhD in Aberdeen, change is coming to Scotland Street.
