Monsters, zombies, an original take....SCORE!!
Revisado: 03-22-25
I liked the rabid monsters/dogs/people and the oringinal take on the usual zombie storyline. Enough that I got another of the authors series before I even finished this one!!

Every corner of Earth has its own monster—even the traceless Gobi Desert as he searches for the Mongolian death worm. The author provides excellent advice on how to carry out your own cryptozoological expeditions. Join the hunt for mythical animals!

Great Book on Cryptozoology Hunts!
Revisado: 01-18-24
Great book on cryptozoology, or more accurately, a realistic look at things that do exist and were either written off as 'extinct' too early(Tasmanian Tiger) or are just on the cusp of being explained (Orangpende). Presented in a factual manner with some lovely travel tales in-between, the only thing that saddened me about this book was when it ended. I wish there were more!

Historia
By Winston Churchill's own admission, victory in the Second World War would have been "impossible without her". Until now, however, the only existing biography of Churchill's wife, Clementine, was written by her daughter. Sonia Purnell finally gives Clementine her due with a deeply researched account that tells her life story, revealing how she was instrumental in softening FDR's initial dislike of her husband and paving the way for Britain's close relationship with America.

Historia
In sixth-century Constantinople, one woman, Theodora, defied every convention and all the odds and rose from common theater tart to empress of a great kingdom - the most powerful woman the Roman Empire would ever know. The woman whose image was later immortalized in glittering mosaic was a scrappy, clever, conniving, flesh-and-blood woman full of sensuality and spirit whose real story is as surprising as any ever told....

Great Story...but ended too abruptly
Revisado: 01-13-21
Loved the writers descriptive style and premise of the story was awesome. My only complaint was the ending felt abrupt, you kept thinking there must be more, but there isn't. I didn't know it was inspired by a real person and events. That was a nice touch
