I particularly appreciate how Mukherjee humanizes the patients in his story. Fifty years of meeting patients, especially cancer patients, has taught me that patients are the real heroes in the story of medicine.

Prof Ehrman’s very readable explanation of textual criticism tries to assert that Christian orthodoxy is an unreliable foundation for faith. However an objective assessment of the evidence he presents only affirms the amazing reliability of the text itself (3000 discrepancies out of 184,600 Greek words among 50,000 manuscripts), but also of the conservative interpretation of those words hammered out through centuries of heated debate.

This book could be the third in a trilogy beginning with Knowing God by J.I. Packer and Loving God by Chuck Coulson. It gives well-supported arguments and practical guidelines for grasping the true gold of heaven.

Full of detail and a convincing argument that investors should be interested in China. For an audiobook the detail is a bit overwhelming. Think I'll get the print copy to see what I've missed.
