Historia
The Longest Con tells the fascinating story of the partisan con artists who have corrupted conservative politics in our time, creating a toxic phenomenon that culminated in the election of Donald Trump, a bumptious fraud whose checkered career and tawdry retinue, including his presidential cabinet, have featured almost every variety of scam. But long before he appeared, Trump's path to power was blazed by the motley horde of swindlers and quacks who preceded him.

Trump king of the Grifters
Revisado: 02-26-25
Traitor Trump has set this country back 50 plus years. With his Grifter family and friends they will cause an economic crisis "like never seem before" Spreading lies and fostering racism and hatred. America has become a laughing stock under his regime. I truly feel some empathy especially for the foolish white people who will lose everything in the future, because they brought into the lie. Thinking that Trump will save them, when he and his administration were raping and robbing them, of not only their money but dignity as well.

Corruption and The Thomas Court
Revisado: 02-18-25
American Oligarchs have bought Judges and placed them throughout the Federal courts to confirm their policies through the passing of laws. Whether in political debates or discussions about immigration around the kitchen table, many Americans, regardless of party affiliation, will say proudly that we are a nation of immigrants. In this bold new book, historian Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz asserts this ideology is harmful and dishonest because it serves to mask and diminish the US’s history of settler colonialism, genocide, white supremacy, slavery, and structural inequality, all of which we still grapple with today.

I am very appreciative of the time and effort gone into the research of this book and his previous work Sapiens. Thank you for explaining and linking together all the methods used in keeping humanity dependent the external forces that may lead to there inevitable doom.

Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Historia
J. Robert Oppenheimer was one of the iconic figures of the 20th century, a brilliant physicist who led the effort to build the atomic bomb but later confronted the moral consequences of scientific progress. When he proposed international controls over atomic materials, opposed the development of the hydrogen bomb, and criticized plans for a nuclear war, his ideas were anathema to powerful advocates of a massive nuclear buildup during the anti-Communist hysteria of the early 1950s.

Revisado: 08-17-23
Sometimes it's a curse to be gifted with such a beautiful mind.
We all are shaped by our childhood experiences, and there is no doubt that Robert's love of science was the most important aspect of his life. Therefore, his lack of empathy in his children's lives was unintentional and the result of a
driving ambition to accomplish the once thought unimaginable.

Shocking, but not surprised.
There will always be white people, ready and willing to steal every penny from people of color. Greed, envy and hatred are all motivating factors that contribute to committing these heinous crimes.
I never knew the story of the Osage people. Though tremendously sad I thank you for bringing it to light.

Historia
As a young man, Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) escaped from slavery in Baltimore, Maryland. He was fortunate to have been taught to read by his slave owner mistress, and he would go on to become one of the major literary figures of his time. He wrote three versions of his autobiography over the course of his lifetime and published his own newspaper. His very existence gave the lie to slave owners: with dignity and great intelligence, he bore witness to the brutality of slavery.

Muhammed Ali and Howard Cosell, a legendary athlete and a television icon, were individually interesting, but together they were mesmerizing. They were profoundly different, young and old, black and white, a Muslim and a Jew, Ali barely literate, Cosell an editor of his university's law review. Yet they had in common forces that made them unforgettable: both were unprecedented performers who covered enormous insecurities by demanding, loudly and often, public acclaim.
