Historia
1983: Three students from a small college embark on a week-long road trip to film a documentary on roadside memorials for their American Studies class. The project starts out as a fun adventure with long stretches of empty road and nightly campfires where they begin to open up with one another. But as they venture deeper into the Appalachian backwoods, the atmosphere begins to darken. They notice more and more of the memorials feature a strange, unsettling symbol hinting at a sinister secret.

Good book
Revisado: 11-24-24
I liked it , good story , likable characters.
Didn’t care much for the sex scene. It took away from the book and after scene the long list of people I wanted to recommend this book to was shortened.

Historia
From the cramped bowels of a dimly lit radio station, Ghost Radio is beamed onto the airwaves. More than a call-in show to tell scary stories, Ghost Radio is a sanctuary for those sleepless denizens of the night, lost halfway between this world and the next. Joaquin, the host, slowly he finds himself unable to distinguish between the real world and the world populated by the nightmares on Ghost Radio.

It makes you think 🤔
Revisado: 06-02-24
At times I did not like the main character and almost put the book down because of it . But it was written so well that I continued. What I like most is ( to me ) it allows the reader to form their own conclusion . ( Spoiler alert) ‼️ It’s very Donnie Darko , did the events actually happen, then were erased in some quantum type ever changing time line or were all the events the fevered dreams of a semiconscious teen as he lingered near death .

Brought back a lot of memories.
Revisado: 01-24-24
My only issue is the author is telling the story and not painting a mental picture. I feel you should write with all of your senses and let the reader build a picture in their minds .
Other than that I really enjoyed the story and after a while of listening I started to look forward to hearing the book . It was like hanging out with a friend back in the day hearing them shoot the 💩. I never played in anything bigger than a garage band , But I did have a 70 GTO that started when it wanted 😂 The book brought back so many good memories, that had long been forgotten.
Worth the read .

Best so far
Revisado: 11-15-23
Loved it , well written, well read . My favorite (Ghost Hunter Alum) book so far . Adam is very entertaining and informative. Usually it will take a month to get through a audiobook. Went through this one in less than a week . Even my 83 year old Mom enjoyed listening and I think may have won her over to the paranormal..

I liked it
Revisado: 01-10-23
I liked these characters, enjoyable story and some good laughs . If I could change anything it would be to correct the part about Sully’s father . A bit of a continuity error between Nobody’s Fool and this book , something a good proof reader would have nailed, but didn’t. It was mildly annoying but in the end I just dismissed the new narrative as a slip of memory. It didn’t ruin the book but took me out of it for a minute.

Historia
Milton H. Erickson has been called the most influential hypnotherapist of our time. Part of his therapy was his use of teaching tales, which through shock, surprise, or confusion - with genius use of questions, puns, and playful humor - helped people to see their situations in a new way. In this audiobook Sidney Rosen has collected over 100 of the tales. Presented verbatim and accompanied by Dr. Rosen's commentary, they are grouped under such headings as Motivating Tales, Reframing, and Capturing the Innocent Eye.

Historia
A first novel with all the assurance of a mature writer at the peak of form and ambition, Mohawk is set in upstate New York and chronicles more than a dozen lives in a leather town, long after the tanneries have started closing down. Ranging over three generations - and clustered mainly in two clans, the Grouses and the Gaffneys - these remarkably various lives share only the common human dilemmas and the awesome physical and emotional presence of Mohawk itself.

Good Book
Revisado: 05-04-22
Writing was good , had some likable characters. I like the small town , normal Joe type setting and Russo does that well . My only complaint is with the narrator. She’s dry and monotone. And it took a few try’s to get into the book because of it. About midway she really gets into the story , but before you know if , She’s back to phoning in the computer voice . If you tough it out , the story is worth it , just wished they chosen a different narrator .
