Can’t get enough

Kate Morton has become my favorite author. This like all her others keeps you guessing right up to the end. Thus far she never disappoints

Main performer ruined it for me

I would have really liked this had i read it, but the main character Harlowe's voice was so whiny and annoyed for the entire book it made it unbearable. Cynthia also had a way, but i felt like hers matched the character. The story was quite good and my first read of hers, but it was not enjoyable because of the reader.

may be my FAVORITE book ever

17.5 hours my seem daunting, but once this book started I never wanted it to end. The entire time i was trying to figure on my own who was doing what and boy it got to the very end before it was all revealed. Worth every minute for the surprise. I felt fully invested in all of the characters and they became family by the end. I immediately ordered a copy for my book loving daughter to have so she can read and share with her book loving friends. I enjoy Kate, but she really got it right this time. if i could give more than 5 stars i would. And the performer was good, but it took a few chapters to get into that Australian accent which was totally needed.

First few chapters made me want to slit my wrists but then it was just awesome I guessed before being told but Karen brought it all home. She is becoming one of my favorite authors

Tortured to the very end

I never thought I would criticize a KH book, but for me this was hell. I read for pleasure and NEVER stop a book. I kept waiting for the book to lighten up but to the very end it didn’t. I kept reading great reviews and was hopeful. I guess this was real life but not my cup of tea. No feel goods from this one.

This was a don’t get out of the car book. The story and story tellers were terrific. I can’t wait until they make this into a movie.

I have been disappointed lately with some if my favorite authors. Not this time. What a beautiful story. What s beautiful performance. I cried when it was over. I loved jo and bethie. Bravo Jennifer wiener. You hit this one out of the ballpark

I am not sure it is the fault of our favorite authors that we expect so much and wait with anticipation, and not just Jodi this has been my feeling with many of my all time favorites although i keep buying their books. I seem to be enjoying unfamiliar authors because i don't have that preconceived notion that the book will be great . I loved this book all the way through, but for me the story was not completed. I felt cheated and disappointed at the end. I don't want to use my imagination at the end, but if you do you will love it. The writing was compelling, the story line riveting until the final page or i guess word.
