Historia
In the late hours of July 22, 1991, Detective Patrick "Pat" Kennedy of the Milwaukee Police Department was asked to respond to a possible homicide. Little did he know that he would soon be delving into the dark mind of one of America's most notorious serial killers, the "Milwaukee Cannibal", Jeffrey Dahmer. Kennedy spent the next six weeks locked in an interrogation room with Dahmer. There, the killer described in lurid detail how he lured 17 young men to his apartment, where he strangled, sexually assaulted, dismembered, and in some cases, cannibalized his victims.

Just Meat and Potatoes
Revisado: 05-31-23
This is a concise and facinating summary of the many interviews Milwaukee Police Detective, Pat Kennedy and his partner had with serial murderer Jeffery Dahmer, over the many days immediately following his arrest. And it provides a real sense of Dahmer's personality and motivations. It's a nugget of gold for true crime fans, but offers little insight into Dahmer's pathology, early life and life outside of the individual murders. There is some exposition on these points at the very end. The writing is novice at times and some short passages are unnecessary. The narrator was clear and easy to listen to. I would recommend this book with the caveat that the narrative is purely in service of delivering the facts of the interviews. I gave it 4 stars because of it's value in understanding what Jeffery Dahmer did.

Great Introduction to F.B.I. Behavioral Science
Revisado: 05-04-22
This is the biographical story of retired F.B.I. Agent John Douglas as well as, the inception and first 15 years or so of the, behavioral science unit at Quantico, VA. It's dated as it was written in the late '90s but remains engaging and pertinent. I enjoyed it and recomend it to anyone interested in criminal behavior, the pathology of serial killers and who John Douglas is.

Polls reveal that 85 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald. Some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent. In this encyclopedic, absorbing audiobook, Vincent Bugliosi shows how the public has come to believe such lies about the day that changed the course of history. Bugliosi has devoted almost 20 years of his life to this project, and is determined to show that, despite the overwhelming popular perception, Oswald killed Kennedy and acted alone.

Historia
A vivid and incisive portrait of Winston Churchill during wartime from acclaimed historian Max Hastings, Winston’s War captures the full range of Churchill’s endlessly fascinating character. At once brilliant and infuriating, self-important and courageous, Hastings’s Churchill comes brashly to life as never before. Beginning in 1940, when popular demand elevated Churchill to the role of prime minister, and concluding with the end of the war, Hastings shows us Churchill at his most intrepid and essential, when, by sheer force of will, he kept Britain from collapsing.

Historia
Stephen E. Ambrose draws from hundreds of interviews with US Army veterans and the brave Allied soldiers who fought alongside them to create this exceptional account of the day that shaped the twentieth century. D-Day is above all the epic story of men at the most demanding moment of their existence, when the horrors, complexities and triumphs of life are laid bare and courage and heroism come to the fore.

Ambrose Balances Facts and Narrative Perfectly
Revisado: 11-03-21
I recommend this to anyone young, or old who wants to learn about D-Day, how and why it came together, as well as what it was like to be a soldier taking part in it (on both sides). The narration was clear and unobtrusive.
