So...I can usually suss out what I think will happen at a certain point. I'm sure a lot of readers are hard to surprise after they have been reading decades. Well, surprise! This one got me. I loved it for that. I didn't see it coming until the final twist. I never really got bored with this book and enjoyed trying to figure out character motivation. Who was the crazy one etc. This one was good. Well deserved five star.

Chrissie is eight and she has a secret: she has just killed a boy. The feeling made her belly fizz like soda pop. Her playmates are tearful and their mothers are terrified, keeping them locked indoors. But Chrissie rules the roost - she's the best at wall-walking, she knows how to get free candy, and now she has a feeling of power that she never gets at home, where food is scarce and attention scarcer.

Ok, first off I'm not a fan of adults voice acting children. I knew going in there would likely some as it is about a child. Don't let this deture you. This is a chilling story and very well written. Very well performed as well. I am really looking forward to hearing more from this author. It really made my skin crawl a few times because the story felt so real. Highly recommend. There was not a boring moment.

Awesome Review

The show just gets better and better!
Revisado: 12-14-21
I have listened to dozens of true crime shows. I'd have to say this is my number one. I've listened to every single episode. There is a difference between the first year or so to the current year. They really developed quickly into a good flow. They are always respectful to victims and are funny at appropriate times. They don't go out of the way to be comedians but are funny nonetheless. It is awesome that they have had effect on helping real cases and advocate for the missing and unsolved. The music is top notch as well!

So thoroughly researched and well written it is feels like a true first hand account of the character's lives. Beautifully descriptive and intriguing. The narration is one of the best I have ever heard and perfectly embodies our young man on his journey. Perfection🤌

The best in true crime! Listen now!
Revisado: 03-24-21
If you love true crime Mike and Gibby are great. I have listened to every single episode. The have respect for the victims and tell the stories in a fresh way. It's not dry and the humorous parts aren't regarding the crime. Their chemistry is fantastic. I really love these guys and look forward to each new episode. The also have an unsolved podcast. Try that one too. Heads up the first episode is a bit rough but they really get into their groove a few episodes later. Sample something new or in the middle first to get a sense of the show. Highly recommend!

Historia
When a young writer accepts a job at a university in the remote English countryside, it's meant to be a fresh start, away from the bustle of London and the scene of a violent assault she is desperate to forget. But a vicious debate about violence against women inflames the tensions and mounting rivalries in her creative-writing class. When a troubled student starts turning in chapters that blur the lines between fiction and reality, the professor recognizes herself as the main character in his book - and he has written her a horrific fate.
