The amazing storytelling of R.I. Polsgrove for Death to the Soul left me speechless for awhile. I found myself feeling so many emotions crying for so many reasons, and falling in love with the characters. I connect with them and saw the depth to them, they were not one not but flawed and a little broken (sometimes literally broken). I found myself getting lost in the story telling myself that I would only read 2 chapters a day, but then before I knew it I was ignoring that and continuing. The story does reach into some dark topics and pulls out some dirty truths associated with them, but it does it in a way that is almost cathartic.
Death to the Soul is a must read(listen) for anyone who can stomach gritty and dark storytelling.
