Great book, Interesting, informative, easy to listen to. I tend to take to books ( including non fiction) that have some story telling and this book delivers so much from telling a few different stories in parallel but a story about each individual character makes up the overall story of the author

She is funny on Instagram, I can imagine she would be great to watch in a live show as she has awesome energy. Her confidence is great and I love that Celeste is very real and does not make insecure teenagers feel even more insecure. But this did not need to come in the form of a book.

What have I just listened to

I’m a big fan of Paulo Coelho and I don’t even remember what was the first book of his that I read. But If Hippie was the first book I read/ listened to, it most definitely would not be the case.

The only though I had when I finished Hippie was ‘huh?!’

It almost makes me question the authenticity of the audible reviews.

women empowerment - beyond the buzz words

Women empowerment has become somewhat a buzz word/phrase. As a woman, I hate the phrase women empowerment and how brands try to tap into this trend and ride the wave. To me, very few marketing campaigns, very few articles have captured the true nature of what for a woman, women empowerment really means. If anything, all these efforts almost make me feel like by trying to 'include' women, women are being separated even more.

The moment of lift has really captured what it means, what is being done by The Gates foundation and it is honestly remarkably beautiful. This is the only book anyone needs to read to understand what empowerment, general empowerment not just of women means. I love that Melinda says that empowering alone is not enough, there needs to be a connection too.

One book I recommend to abolutely everyone!

I loved the Third Door from the moment I started listening to it. I loved the fact that I actually got it as an audiobook rather than an actual book as it is so well narrated by the author himself. It is through his narration that you get a deeper attachment and connection to the story, that makes you want to root for Alex and his adventures.

I am going to get a print version of it next, just so I can really get into all the nuggets of knowledge and highlight and bookmark everything I found useful and applicable in my life.
