What a great concept! Murder doesn’t stick?! How cool is that?!
I love the chemistry and character work given in such a short time. I really hope this becomes a series so we can enjoy more scenarios where a dispatcher and detective need to work together again.

Great Easy Listening Story

Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe is going to be one of my go tos when I need a story to help me relax. Colgan created a sweet romance that has just enough drama to keep you in, but not so much that you get frustrated with the characters. It is predictable in such an adorable way.
This uncomplicated story of Izzy is such a wonderful listen.
Ford’s performance was beautiful. I loved the character voices for the children the most. It made my heart happy. I knew exactly who was speaking, when. Ford’s soothing voice was a perfect match.
100% recommended for those who like a British romance with only a dash of drama.

Pretty Good

This is a great middle of a series book. Lindsay Buroker keeps the action that is well loved with The Emperor’s Edge gang. I am so grateful that the “night time adventures” are still tastefully done. I was worried that as the characters strengthened their relationships, I would have to turn it off. But I didn’t!
Unfortunately the narrator is a little too monotone for my liking. There are times when it’s difficult to tell which male character is talking, because they have the same sound.
Overall, I’m still excited to listen to the next book and see where it takes me.
This series is for young adults to not so young adults that enjoy fictional adventures.

Shadows of Lela is the choice you would like if you are wanting a fast paced love story.
The plot jumps quickly into the trials of love. It was predictable in a way you knew who would fall for who. But the fun narration of Emma Faye entices you to want to listen to the end.
A fun story for those who like a youthful romance.
