Glad this was a special offer, free, not worth using a credir

Sadly...Awful

What would have made The Minefield Girl better?
No "sound design/3D spatial audio." An editor.
Any additional comments?
I couldn't listen to this book with the "sound design and spatial audio." I listen frequently in my car while driving. The sinister music, unexpected explosive noises, and sounds of screeching tires and cars honking were extremely distracting. It actually was startling and, frankly, dangerous. Since it was a free book it can't be returned. Thank heavens I didn't waste money or credits acquiring it. Please say this isn't the future design for audio books.

Historia
In AD 1119, a group of nine crusaders became known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon - a militant monastic order charged with protecting pilgrims and caravans traveling on the roads to and from the Holy Land. In time, the Knights Templar would grow in power and, ultimately, be laid low. But a small offshoot of the Templars endure and have returned to the order's original mission: to defend the roads of the world and guard those who travel on them.

If I could give this book 8 or ten stars I would!! Great storyline, great plot filled with tension, and the narrator makes it all perfect. His ability to define each voice is simply amazing. I will certainly look for more offerings from this team.

Game of Thrones fans watch in delight as the epic battle of Lannister and Stark entangles the Seven Kingdoms. But only the sharpest notice how these houses echo Lancaster and York in the War of the Roses. Druids, Catholics, and even Zoroastrians wander through Westeros, reframing their religions for a new world of fantasy. But how medieval is Westeros? Did lady knights and pirates really battle across Europe? The audiobook Winter is Coming: Symbols and Hidden Meanings in A Game of Thrones explores all this and more, from the echoes of history to the symbols and omens our beloved characters.

Finally, all the connections are made. I understand so much more about A Song of Fire and Ice after listening to Winter is Coming and will enjoy the TV series and the next book (waiting for #6…) even more. Great research and writing and outstanding audio performance.
