Historia
Kodyn expected hardships along his journey to return a kidnapped girl to her father. Yet harsh deserts and cutthroat bandits prove far less lethal than the foes that await him in Shalandra, the City of the Dead. In the shadows of golden spires carved from mountain stone, currents of corruption and vice run deep. Priests of the god of death rule with an iron fist, imposing a rigid caste system that elevates some to a life of privilege and condemns others to miserable squalor.

Good beginning
Revisado: 07-06-23
The story is good but I don’t care for the narrator. Maybe after listening to Mark narrate for 7 Darkblade books not many compare but I find it hard to listen at normal speed, it’s a little easier when I slow it down to .09 anyway I like how the story is coming together, it’s a little predictable but enjoyable. I don’t care for every step being described in long detail I mean some things need explaining but not everything. I find myself fast forwarding half of most chapters to get to the point, but the story is still interesting and maybe it’s just me but when I see some stuff coming an hour away I’d rather fast forward a little to get to it. You’ll understand what I mean after listening to this guys narration style and voice. Also it took me a while to get used to the accent of the voices he does until I realized that he does the Hindi type voices better than his normal voice. So for me there were a lot of distractions from the story but I stuck with it and it paid of because I’m hooked and focused on the story which is very good and recommend this book. It’s definitely a 4 star story.

Great books
Revisado: 07-02-23
I liked this last book but I feel like there should be more or at least 1 more. It would be great if he wrote more adventures of the Hunter. I would enjoy that. Anyway I really enjoyed the series and highly recommend it if you like Dark fantasy without explicit sex scenes, plenty of blood and violence and minimal cussing with non stop action and excellent narration.Thank you Andy and Mark.

The story continues
Revisado: 06-21-23
Great continuation of the story I look forward to book 5. This one lacks some of the excitement of the other books it’s more filler to the story. No traveling but that will pick up in the next book. The narration is great as always.

Good adventure
Revisado: 05-18-23
I enjoyed this book. Good story good characters and character building. Standard world good world building. Very good narrator. Looking forward to book 2. I thought that it was kind of boring that everything was split between completely good and completely bad. I enjoy a character who does good most of the time but is also realistic in his choices. I appreciate the lead taking care of his friends and in this one at least there was killing of bad guys who killed good guys which most of the books on audible won’t even kill anybody which to me is kind of ridiculous in an adventure novel unless it’s YA. I was pleased with the balance between fighting and building and there weren’t any long hours of boring information. Everything flowed nicely and kept my interest the story not mind blowing was written and narrated well raising the level of the story to be satisfying and enjoyable. Definitely recommend listening to this book. 1 of very few quality written books with equal narration. Hard to find both you won’t be disappointed.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Wasn’t for me
Revisado: 05-04-23
I wanted to like it but just couldn’t get into it. I tried like 3 or 4 times. Maybe it’s me because the reviews said he’s the next BS hmmm maybe it was just this first book or maybe it was the narrator. I just think maybe it was a combination of things. I just couldn’t stay focused. Some parts were interesting but I found myself turning it off multiple times. It didn’t suck me in like other stories have, I mean some stories Ive listened straight through due to the writing style so I think his style is not for me so far. I will not discourage anyone from trying this book because he has gotten some high praises from other authors and just because I didn’t get into it lol. Who am I? I’m me. 3 stars all around.

Amazing story
Revisado: 04-25-23
This is the best story I’ve listened to so far. For me it had everything including one of the best narrator’s. I laughed I shed some tears I felt anger and joy. I felt completely immersed in this world and completely satisfied. This is what I look for in an epic fantasy adventure story. Finding quality books like this is an adventure in itself. Now it starts again. I’m grateful for this time I spent with Dragons and hopefully I can find the same pleasure in another of Michael’s stories. Thank you again to the Author and narrator, hope to hear you both soon.

It was ok
Revisado: 04-13-23
The story seems to be going slowly downhill for me. It’s starting to get more and more repetitive and the MC is still a wimp after 5 books he hasn’t grown a backbone. His tormentor picks on him every day for 5 years and gets him in trouble and he never defends himself and has not knocked him out once. I don’t know if I can take anymore. The downside is outweighing the upside to this story. I’m debating whether to buy book 6 but if I do and it’s more of the same 6 will be my last book. The narration is pretty good but most of the voices are the same. He could’ve put some effort in the female voices but he does a good job for the most part and keeps you into the story.

Disappointed
Revisado: 04-09-23
Well this book was interesting enough for me to finish it but it was not as good as the first 2. It’s becoming repetitive and it felt like this book was mostly filler with some interesting plot lines. It’s hard to describe without giving away anything but the story has become more predictable and I feel like I don’t want to bother with book 4. At some point or book depending on how long they want to drag it out they will overthrow the king and maybe move on to another adventure. There are a few small plot lines that are still interesting but it’s not enough to carry the series. The writing needs to progress in a series so each book gets better and keeps you wanting more and guessing. I was really surprised because the writing was very good in first 2 books and some of book 3 but for me I think he was exposed in book 3 and maybe he gets back on track in book 4 but I doubt it. Maybe I’ll come back to this series or skip book 4. I’m sad I really thought I’d be busy for a while with this one, oh well on to another series. It is worth a listen but for me I wouldn’t spend a credit on it.

Great second book
Revisado: 04-07-23
A flawless continuation from book 1 great narration again. The only thing that bothers me about the MC is that he is so wimpy I mean constantly and dumb, always asking questions about everything except he’s not dumb lol. At least let him put 2 and 2 together half the time or please let him talk to girl with confidence or recognize when a girl likes you, God he’s 16 now. Ok that’s my rant on the wimpy MC. Other than that it’s all great and I’m moving on to book 3. Definitely recommend the first 2 books.
