Would you listen to Conspiring with a Rogue again? Why?
This was the best narration I have heard in a while. Tim Campbell is becoming my favorite. His voices were clear and he did not sound like a wheezing old man.

I gave a review on Amazon about the book.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was when the hero realized he needed to retrieve his heroine.

In this second installment of her breathtaking De Montforte Brothers series, critically acclaimed author Danelle Harmon introduces us to Englishman Lord Charles de Montforte, who awakens in the tender care of an American beauty after being wounded in battle. Amy Leighton has long wished for someone special to enter her life and take her away from a cruel, unloving step-family, but the handsome stranger is from an enemy land...and he's sworn to love another. What did you like best about The Beloved One? What did you like least?
The book was great. The narrator made Charles sound like an old man. I would have liked the narrator's voice to be the voice of Charles. That is the reason I do not read aloud.

Historia
Lady Eilis Dunbarton's life undergoes a drastic change with the death of her cousin, Agnes. Now she's faced with the disagreeable prospect of marrying the man who was to be her cousin's husband. Not by a change of contract, though. Instead, by deceit - pretending to be her cousin. But if her husband-to-be discovers she's not really Agnes, her life is forfeit. So what choice does Eilis have but to flee? When Laird James MacNeill's clan rescues a half-drowned lass from the sea, there is speculation she is of the enemy clan, especially since she doesn't remember her own name.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story is wonderful and the audio was close to perfect.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Niall...because he was funny. Of course I loved James and Eilis.
Have you listened to any of Maxine Lennon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I think this was my first time and I will keep her in mind when purchasing audio!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The book was good enough to read all in one setting, but it takes longer than that.
Any additional comments?
I love the audio/reading combination!

1332 A.D. - As the premier commander for Roger Mortimer, Earl of March, when he commandeered the throne from a young Edward III, Sir Mathias de Reyne is the type of knight that all men aspire to be: fair, powerful, intelligent, and bold. Men on both sides of the Mortimer/Edward lines respect and admire de Reyne for his outstanding character, including Dragonblade himself, Tate de Lara.

The narration and the book
Revisado: 02-14-15
What made the experience of listening to The Fallen One the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed this narration better than the last one I listened to by Campbell. There were fewer mistakes and I like the sound of his voice. I love to read along with the voice and I love the fact that the pages turn with the narration. That may sound silly, but when one's finger hurts all the time, not turning a page is a big deal.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the redemption that this story told. If I am to review the book here, I would say that The Fallen One is excellent. It has history, romance, bloody battles and is in no way hard to read. I also found great humor in one paragraph. I am probably the only 'sick' minded person to find the humor: “After paying the priest the promised coinage, Mathias mounted his wife on the skittish charger and in the dead of night, headed into Longtown and the Ladyseat Inn.” He mounted his wife on the charger???!!!
What about Tim Campbell’s performance did you like?
He put the proper emotion with what he was reading.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, but that was my personal decision...to take it in bites.
