Historia
What are positive affirmations? An affirmation is anything that you think or say. This means that even your negative thoughts and words are affirmations. People have become used to thinking negatively, thus resulting in negative experiences and situations. It is important to retrain the mind to think only of good and positive things, so that only positive would also come out of the mouth. This is how you will change your life. A positive affirmation will open a doorway to the positive changes in your life.

Questionable at best
Revisado: 10-12-22
Some of the affirmations are really good and some are Super disturbing. I am my children’s entire world and I am raising obedient children for example. Also a fair amount of God stuff- if that’s your thing. I didn’t even get 10 minutes in

casting issue?
Revisado: 10-29-17
I can't decide if there was a casting issue or if the casting was intentional to speak to a broader base. To me the voice I was hearing didn't match the story being told.

Historia
Americans have built an empire on the idea of “race”, a falsehood that damages us all but falls most heavily on the bodies of Black women and men - bodies exploited through slavery and segregation and, today, threatened, locked up, and murdered out of all proportion. What is it like to inhabit a Black body and find a way to live within it? And how can we all honestly reckon with this fraught history and free ourselves from its burden? Between the World and Me is Ta-Nehisi Coates’ attempt to answer these questions in a letter to his adolescent son.
