Adventure
Revisado: 04-15-24
The adventure part of the book is awesome. She talks alot about her personal life alot and issues in her marriage. So it maybe a bit dramatic for male listeners. But it made me feel like I was at a movie theater watching a movie or even a part of the story in some way. I love the book personally.

Awesome story only problem I had was the woman reading the story has a really strong Michigan accent and her voice is a bit unpleasant. But still Awesome story...

Historia
Why take the shortest, most direct route through life, when you could choose the wiggliest, most mountainous one possible? Armed with a limited grasp of Spanish and determined to meet as many Lamas as possible, Anna and her friend Faye set off on a six-month journey along the spine of the largest mountain range in the world - the Andes. Beginning in the bustling city of La Paz, the duo pedal south - through dense jungle, across pristine white salt flats and past towering volcanoes, following the path of thundering glacial rivers to the snow-tipped peaks of Patagonia.

I love her books. She's adventurous, witty, funny. And she's a real bad ass. It's definitely worth picking up one of her books and giving a read. Or download and give them a listen.

one of the best adventure books of all time.
Revisado: 10-05-22
Absolutely loved the book. The adventure was awesome. Listening to her made me feel as if we were friends in real life. And as she talked about her childhood I got a bit emotional. I was also raised in a Cult religion and experienced some of the same things she did. So I could relate with her in so many ways. Beautiful book, wish it was longer. I'd give it a thousand stars if I could.

Raised as a preacher son. Went threw hell behind closed doors. Believing God is the answer after all that I've been threw and struggle with at 50 brings lack of beliefs and trust in Christian beliefs and Christ. If God works for you then I'm happy for you. And have no ill will towards anyone with Christian beliefs. Believe me I've tried, prayed and begged God. Read the Bible so many times. But the damage that was done is done. l hope someday I live a loving and peaceful life. And not be tormented from my past. But I no longer believe God is the answer. Especially since the abuse was from my pastor and father. And the hurt and damage to this day still exists. My best regards to everyone out there that has positive experiences with God and Christianity.

Historia
Inextricably linked with the fatwa called against its author in the wake of the novel’s publication, The Satanic Verses is, beyond that, a rich showcase for Salman Rushdie’s comic sensibilities, cultural observations, and unparalleled mastery of language. The book begins with two Indians plummeting from the sky after the explosion of their airliner, and proceeds through a series of metamorphoses, dreams and revelations.
