Baldacci never disappoints
Revisado: 07-09-18
This 2nd book in the John puller series is invigorating, exciting and riveting. I thoroughly enjoy David Baldacci’s attention to detail and informed narratives with background based in reality though works of fiction. Very well written. I have come to expect nothing less in Baldacci’s writing. He never disappoints.

Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself. Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher.

Fantastic story
Revisado: 06-20-18
This book is in a series, but can stand alone. Excellent writing keeping the reader in suspense until very close to the end of the book.
Amos Decker is a complicated character, yet easy to like. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery!

The Book of God reads like a novel, dramatizing the sweep of biblical events, bringing to life the men and women of this ancient book in vivid detail and dialogue. From Abraham wandering in the desert to Jesus teaching the multitudes on a Judean hillside, this award-winning bestseller follows the biblical story from start to finish.

Great following of the word of God in a novel
Revisado: 08-08-12
I was very happy with the novel. I thought the stories followed very closely to the Word of God.
It would be a good introduction for someone who had never completely read the Bible especially the old testament to get an overview of the major stories of the Bible. It is not a substitute for the Bible but an entertaining overview of the Biblical stories.

Special attention will be given to the influence of Oprah Winfrey's media platform in reshaping society by introducing and promoting certain books and authors.

Another Fantastic book by Ravi Zacharias
Revisado: 07-25-12
I have read or heard almost all of Ravi Zacharias' books and have never been disappointed in the lessons I have learned or the vast knowledge of world views and beliefs other than his own accepted Christianity. Although apologist is a transliteration of the apologia or defense of the faith, which we all as professing Christians should be practicing, Ravi gives history and proofs from history of the reality of the truth of Christianity. I am happy to have experienced another of his learned texts. Thanks Ravi for giving such an educated defense of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
God Bless you in your life and work

This complete and unabridged edition of Spurgeon's great work will make it possible for today's generation to appreciate Spurgeon's combination of discerning wit and refreshingly practical advice. Included in the 28 chapters of this classic volume are lectures such as: The Call to Ministry, The Preacher's Private Prayer, On the Choice of a Text, On the Voice, The Holy Spirit in Connection with Our Ministry, The Blind Eye and the Deaf Ear, On Conversion as Our Aim, and Illustrations in Preaching.

One of the Greatest Pastors of his generation
Revisado: 04-08-12
I have enjoyed listening to this book many times since I bought it. I find it very enjoyable. C.H. Spurgeon was not a formally educated man but was a lifelong student of the Christian faith once he was converted at age 19. He became a preacher who, before microphones could be heard by a crowd of 23,000 people. He actually asked his faithful to stay at home every fourth Sunday so the "unbelievers" would have a chance to hear him. I have read or studied many of the books put out this generation about this pastor that died 120 years ago.
This and many other books have been written in contemporary English as many of the words that were used in Spurgeons day and age are antiquated and not easy to understand. I highly recommend this if you like to listen to the Classic Christian Pastors such as Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, and George Whitfield.

Historia
Humility, or holding power loosely for the sake of others, is sorely lacking in today's world. Without it, many people fail to develop their true leadership potential and miss out on genuine fulfillment in their lives and their relationships. Speaker and historian John Dickson shows how the virtue of humility was an important character trait for the "greats" of history and figures prominently in the findings of psychology and sociology.

Humility is nearly impossible to capture in a book
Revisado: 11-28-11
As well as Humility can be recorded, described and expressed without sounding not at all humble, John Dickson has not disappointed. I am however, biased because I tend to enjoy all of his books I listen to or read. He is a very learned, capable writer, and seems to love difficult concepts to capture in the written form. He is a humble man though I think he would say he has not got a good grasp of humility at all.
John Dickson is an incredible teacher, Pastor, with an uncanny ability to capture subject matter that most would run from. I will read and listen to this book again throughout the years. I have much to learn on the matter.

Interesting Fictional account ofthe youth of Jesus
Revisado: 08-13-11
Anne Rice did not dissapoint. The fictional young life of Jesus could have been just this way. After all He did have amazing powers. I am not sure God would have endangered Him in such a way as to have these powers just jump out of Him without knowledge of what was happening and how draining it was. But I really enjoyed her imaginary story and would listen to it again. The reader was realistic (meaning he sounded like a 12 year old boy) I have always liked Anne Rice's work and was not disappointed in this work either.
