Historia
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

Random laughs and in fluxes in speaking tone and intonation annoying
Revisado: 04-04-25
Overall good book but the random and expensive laughing and spikes in speaking tone by the narrator are quite annoying.. Would much prefer without! It doesn't add value to the story, rather its quite distracting.

Historia
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." Just not worth the buy or listen really...
Revisado: 09-11-24
Overall really didn't enjoy this one, and glad to finish it! I like to give all books their shot, even ones that are not enjoyable. It's not my first Ryan Holiday book but will be my last. I'll keep the review short and simple (like this book) - too basic, too much repeating, too much football (I get it, Ryan likes football lol), and a random Tim Ferris podcast tossed in the end credits.. This is a book that I simply won't remember as it didn't provide any intrinsic value imo.

Historia
Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Interesting but hit or miss
Revisado: 07-21-24
I understand the era this book was written in, however it's a bit contradictory to support Rockefellers as positive, yet knock the education system, as it's structurally backed by that family.
Otherwise the woman repeating and/or elaborating throughout felt unnecessary, distracting, and a tad annoying.
Neat book otherwise, but haven't as much enjoyed it as other Hill books.

Simple and digestible, Motivational and wise at times
Revisado: 06-25-24
Well performed. Simple concepts that are also beautifully wise and timeless. Robin puts things together in a way that makes them very digesible. A few of the personal antidotes lost me as I felt they ran a bit long and weren't providing as much relatable or relevant value in the short time I'm listening to the book. Personally I preferred the first half of the book, it started really strong, then slowly began to lose me, as the direct/straight forward motivation and wisdom turned into more of a blended personal journey/tale. When listening to a book I don't mind stories, but prefer them short and sweet, then back to delivering value focused information.

Takes the listener along for the journey
Revisado: 01-10-21
Really enjoyed this audiobook.. it takes the listener along for the journey. And as someone that has have similar psychedelic experiences I can really appreciate the effort that has gone into articulating, as best the author could, these experiences to The Listener / reader. This is an excellent step in the direction of bringing more awareness to the transcendental benefits of psychedelics.

Historia
Ancient Egyptian civilization is so grand our minds sometimes have difficulty adjusting to it. It lasted 3,000 years, longer than any other on the planet. Its Great Pyramid of Cheops was the tallest building in the world until well into the 19th century and remains the only Ancient Wonder still standing. And it was the most technologically advanced of the ancient civilizations, with the medical knowledge that made Egyptian physicians the most famous in the world.

Enjoyable Egyptian History Book
Revisado: 08-10-19
my only complaint with this book is that the lecture / author tends to state certain things as factual when they actually are not entirely accurate. So if you're willing to take some of the information with a grain of salt, and Google search to find all relevant facts around what's being discussed, then the book is enjoyable. For example the lecturer notes certain stone structures buildings as being the oldest discovered, but in fact the ones being mentioned are on a list of 10 oldest structures, but certainly they are not the oldest discovered to date. Little inaccuracies such as this make it a bit tedious to listen to a book and then have to research what's being discussed to confirm it's accurate.
