Historia
In the 23rd century, humanity has been hunted to the verge of extinction by an alien race. When an exploratory ship accidentally travels back in time to Viking-age Scandinavia, the human race is given a second chance. Pursued by the power-hungry King Harald, the four surviving crew members join a ragtag band of Vikings as they pillage their way across Europe. To save humanity, they must somehow return to the stars. Thus begins a decades-long effort to teach the Vikings to build a craft capable of reaching space - a ship that will come to be known as the Iron Dragon.

I can’t figure out what the author was smoking when he wrote this
Revisado: 08-26-23
The story line started pretty well but totally went sideways with the theme and characters then totally flipped upside down now I’m in a horror story a with brain eating bugs an flesh eating zombies. I’m done I concur there is a reason it was 1 credit for the set save your credit and get the author into rehab.

A little to peril’s of Pauline for me
Revisado: 03-15-23
The book is all about how she is unable to help or even help herself not drawing on any future knowledge to fix things don’t think I can finish she is the victim in all she does both in the past and her own time. She needs someone else to help her get out of trouble at every turn but also waivers in her own situation to decide what she wants.

Historia
Humanity lurches into an uncertain future, dismissive of warning signs. Only the most naïve believe humanity will step back from the brink. Yet in a place that doesn’t exist, a riddle, a puzzle, hope, fear, danger, salvation - all come together. Zach Marjek has faced death in the far corners of the Earth and survived where others have failed. Now, he's thrust into an unimaginable situation where mercenaries, an Inuit wanderer, a murderous Yupik, a young mother, a video game designer, a retired general, a president, a Chinese marine, and mathematics prodigies must come together.

It’s too bad
Revisado: 09-06-21
I read science fiction for entertainment not to be preached at by an obvious atheist and environmental wacko who thinks the human population thinning is the answer to environmental problems. It alway surprises me that people who believe that would never consider that they should set the example and sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the environment.

Historia
During a perfect spring evening on Nantucket, a violent storm erupts and a dome of crawling, colored fire blankets the island. When the howling winds subside and the night skies clear, the stars appear to have shifted. The mainland has become a wilderness of unbroken forest, where tools of bronze and stone litter the beaches, and primitive natives scatter in terror.

REALLY!!!
Revisado: 02-14-21
Really !!! I guess we really needed a black gay female Coast Guard captain to make sure all the Minority communities were well represented. Oh and I forgot beds a female child in some specific detail, and still manages to out fight every man she meets. I read science fiction for entertainment not to be preached at by an author who can’t make his characters believable. Won’t be continuing the series obviously. Wish I could get back the time it took to get through this one.

Everyone with an interest in America's greatest battle comes up against its controversies. What if J. E. B. Stuart had arrived on the battlefield before the second day? What if Ewell had pressed hard on the heels of the Union rout on the first day? What if Pickett's charge had been stronger and better led? What if the Army of the Potomac had been commanded by a more aggressive counter attacker than Meade?

One of the most frustrating books I’ve listened too
Revisado: 12-13-20
The author spent most of his time with very detailed information about the battle but unfortunately didn’t keep us novices in the loop. Half the time he would state some unit under some captain and expect anybody to understand what side he was talking about or possibly even where The farm he is referencing even is. I even thought about getting Maps trying to figure out who and where he was talking about. very frustrating should have an editor go through and require explanations

Poorly written and thought out.
Revisado: 06-27-19
Ok I'm going to be brutally honest. This story sucked. Here you have a woman who without any explanation about being thrown over 1000 years in the past and has no knowledge or understanding that would help the people who took her in. Does not even try. She spends her whole time in heat for the head of the Viking group she lives with. On and on we are told what, where and how she wants to do this guy.
She get her feeling hurt and several times almost returns to the future but pulls back. When she finally does go back to the future she does very little to explain how it all happened. Also when she again finally decides she needs to go back to the Vikings she is unable to think about bringing back anything other than a few seeds.
If you like the whole school girl in love and lust fantasizing about a Viking this books for you. Don't expect much else though there is plot wholes you could sail a Viking long boat through.
I feel bad for Amy Landon who had to read this. She needed to ask for more pay for the oxygen and time in her life she waisted.

Historia
It's been said that musicians live for the next new sound. Well, the musicians of Europe were presented with the biggest new sound ever when the Ring of Fire brought the future back to 1631. What will the court musicians think when they hear Bach, Stravinsky, and the Beatles? What will the street and tavern musicians think when faced with Johnny Cash, Metallica, and Nirvana? Things don't go smoothly for Marla Linder and her friends.
