Historia
Starting a war with an enemy 100 times stronger is insane. It’s desperate. And it’s Earth’s only hope. A massive alien power looms over humanity, claiming Earth as its territory and humanity as its slaves. The Hegemony has already taken over one colony, yoking hundreds of thousands under their brutal rule. Every tactical exercise, every war game, and every simulation gives humanity zero chance in a defensive campaign.

I just wish there were more books. Unfortunately this became a standalone and It would have been perfect with 6 or more books to the story line.

A feminist scifi story
Revisado: 11-21-23
My last book from Nathan Hystand. I regret buying these books however for those who like a strong feminist agenda this is for you. I’ll pass from here on out.

Flint, Wren, and Ace, along with Charles, are now members of the Eureka, a state-of-the-art vessel heading for a world in the far reaches of a new galaxy. Sixty years ago a colony ship was sent there, along with someone close to their benefactor. But when they arrive, they find getting to the surface isn’t as easy as they thought. With a crash-landing, and news that shocks the entire crew, they must collectively find a way to get the Pilgrim off-planet and into the fight against the Watchers.

I liked the story but will pass on the agenda
Revisado: 11-15-23
I really love listening to sci-fi audio books. My collection at this point is made up of hundreds of books purchased over years. However, I’ve started to notice a trend a feminist trend. I get that the books are sci-fi and designed to be out of this world but there should be some realism to them. What I realized is that these books and others are now written to portray men as incompetent, emotional, unreliable, role reversible with women. We have thousands of years of history to establish mens standard of behavior and women’s. What confuses me is I doubt women are buying these books in mass. So the only logical train of thought would be that they expect to convince young men to think this about themselves. I’m starting to think being a man in America is a bad thing. You need to aa feminine man who is submissive to women. 22 years of military service and then this.

Great story with an agenda
Revisado: 07-18-23
I like the story and myself being a former naval officer and operator I am drawn to military sci-fi. My issue came when I saw the pattern that this story is clearly written for a woman, it’s like a love story for a feminist who was whispering in the ear of the author. There are choices made by the characters or focus on a particular character that becomes nauseating after a while. But I guess I’m from a different age. I still think for most it is absolutely worth the credit just not for me.

Good story once it builds speed
Revisado: 06-02-21
The story itself I find to be good and I am a fan of the writer. My issue stems from the lack of any patriarchal society, as a matter of fact the men all seem to be inferior when compared to their female counterparts. I just would like it to be closer to real life, equal but different and value our differences.

Historia
Until the Confederation created Allora, it had produced SADEs (self-aware digital entities) for hundreds of years with enormous consistency and harnessed their capabilities to power the society. But this particular young SADE was disturbed by her confinement. Trapped in metal-alloy housing on the bridge of a luxury passenger liner, Allora sought to possess the same freedom enjoyed by humans, who came and went from her starship with abandon.

This is the last of these books I'll buy
Revisado: 06-07-17
This is the last of these books I'll buy. Let me start by saying that I know they aren't based on reality. However I find a reoccurring theme that annoys me. President Racine always and I mean always wins with ease. He can out smart Einstein given 3 minutes. And the robots in here are valued more than humans. One killed a ship full of humans and is locked away and somehow the humans who did that are the bad ones. In this novel another one crosses a serious line and is viewed as a hero that has done no wrong. However the humans are backwards for feeling that something that a human would have gone to prison for should be punished. So in short my problem is all humans are dumb basically unless they are on the Presidents side and these same humans should know that they are serving place to robots.

Historia
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. The Fault in Our Stars is insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw. It brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.
