Historia
In Mercy: What Every Catholic Should Know, Fr. Daniel Moloney covers a broad range of topics regarding mercy that are prevalent for our society today. Beginning from an unexpected perspective in the first half of the audiobook, Fr. Moloney approaches mercy from a political point of view, explaining how mercy is in fact truly and intimately interwoven with politics and power. He eloquently explains how mercy is not synonymous with leniency, but is an act of responding to a privation, a lack of something which ought to be there.

Eloquence Beyond Words
Revisado: 01-21-22
Fr. Moloney's insightful book on Mercy is not only informative, but it is also beautiful! I listened to almost the entire book, driving from my son's home to mine yesterday. I just finished the last 30 minutes. Brilliant insights into what Justice and Mercy actually are, which greatly lifts the confusing terminology fog that plagues our society as well as our churches and even our Catholic schools today. Chapter 16, which features Our Lady as Mother of Mercy, is eloquent beyond words and is a fitting way to end this masterful book. A must-read (must-listen) for all thoughtful Catholics and anyone interested in a deeper, more profound understanding of Justice and Mercy and God as the author of both. Thank you, Fr. Moloney, Ignatius Press, and the Augustine Institute for making this book possible!

Should be required reading!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
One of the BEST books I’ve ever read!!! Even if you don’t have a special needs child, you will be very grateful for the Santorum’s witness of selfless love. A beautiful testimony to holy family life and the power of God’s grace, active in their lives - and our lives too, if only we allow it. Should be required reading in all Catholic/faith-based high schools!!!
What does Rick Santorum and Diana Batarseh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I don’t have a lot of time to read - so I am grateful to listen to books, while driving in my car. This is the only audible book I continued to listen to, however, even after I got home!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
