Great context and wonderful writing
Revisado: 03-13-24
This book considers the human experience of a person moving between worlds. It doesn’t mean hand wave the transition in experience and explain how one might emotionally change from this experience.
The system is thoughtful, the interactions between characters make sense, I would read this over most all other litRPG it is not a power fantasy, it is an exploration of experience. 10/10

Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

Great writing taking the reading from one interesting situation to the next while getting to know our main character. Enjoyed every chapter of it.

Historia
Without so much as a warning, humanity in its entirety was suddenly moved to another dimension. Every person, without exception. But this new world, with all its opportunities and gifts of wondrous abilities, was a stadium. A deadly arena of an unimaginable scale. And humanity was to be its latest gladiators. Every man, woman, and child was given a weapon and ordered to fight. Stuck in this dimension without a way out, only two options existed for the would-be hunters: Fight with monsters to complete the many trials ahead, or perish.

Great performance… racist book
Revisado: 07-29-22
I don’t say this lightly, this book is obsessed with race and ethnicity. The author goes out of their way to state race then describe demeanor based on that information. I’m half way thru this book and will re-review if I change my mind if this has something to do with character development. but this author seems oblivious to the repeatedly race based statements and it seems to not be tied to character growth or story progression in anyway.
As other reviews have said writing is very sub par, stats don’t matter, main character has no unique qualities and doesn’t act human in anyway.
I think most of these 5 star reviews are unauthentic.

For such an absurd premise the writing is so well put together well written. Also sound booth theater and the narrator do an amazing job. It all comes together to be one of the best audio books you will find on audible.

Repetitive and general
Revisado: 05-03-17
Many of the chapters are ideas from other books where they are explained in greater detail. The descriptions of technique is tedious and holds only a tenuous link to the real world of management.

Historia
Each of us has an ever-growing collection of personal digital data: documents, photographs, PowerPoint presentations, videos, music, emails, and texts sent and received. To access any of this, we have to find it. The ease (or difficulty) of finding something depends on how we organize our digital stuff.

Conclusions drawn with little relevant data
Revisado: 11-29-16
This may be a good book for those who would like to jump into PIM (Personal Information Management) if you want a collection of stats. But I would warn that the authors quickly disregard key digital information retrieval systems and cite heavily analogue studies.
It should be no surprise that exclusively digital inputs fall down when most research in done out side of a computer. And when a large segment of studies cited are from a far flung past when computational power was factors of magnitude lower.
As of yet I am 1/3rd though the book and will come back to this review when done; if the authors have changed my mind.
I cannot suggest any alternatives to this book, but be warned of heavy bias.
