Historia
Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Inspiring
Revisado: 11-25-20
In the world that I live in, there are many writers pushing a belief system, many boastful claims of importance and many promises of success. I often get tired of it. What I read in this book was good advice for living as a human and an honest account of one man’s experience as a monk in training. The information fed and inspired a part of me with nourishing content. I am personally urged to work to achieve my own more rigorous structure of behavior and I am reinspired as I think about the content. I read the book in an average way— not to critique it or find fault or feel better about my way of doing things. I am thankful for the experience.

Historia
The popularity of minimalism has grown a lot in the past years. Long before the emergence of flat design, minimalism has been playing a huge role in many people's lives. This includes the designs of many artists: sculptors, theater directors, interior designers, graphic designers, and, of course, web designers. A minimalist is someone who strives to remove much of the clutter from their lives and focus on life outside of physical possessions. The ultimate goal is to shed those things that don't matter in order to more fully pursue the things that DO matter.

What would have made Minimalism better?
I'm so into minimalism that it kind of hurts sometimes. I just can't get enough. Then I started listening to this book...OMG. I clicked it off. I do not share the Author's beliefs, which strike me as limiting rather than expanding.
