I love all of Laura Griffin's books but I really can't stand this narrator. Very nasally and always sighing.

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Great narration but ....
Revisado: 02-12-25
Great narration but this is a swamp of immorality. Everyone in the town is sleeping with Everyone. Neighbors, families, friends. It didn't matter if they were married or in a relationship with someone. I bet if you connected a string to every person who had sex with someone else they would all interlace! I kept reading it just to see who done it otherwise I would have stopped reading halfway through. And really, who gets off on someone choking them while having sex? Very disturbing!

Good book but short
Revisado: 01-25-25
This is a good book but could have been much better if it was more detailed and longer. It seemed to move too quickly.

Great suspense with lots of twists. The narration was good but I wish the main male character didn't have a higher voice than the female characters.

I really liked this series but was disappointed when they changed the narrator. I loved Justine Eyre and that was one of the reasons I started listening to this series in the first place.

Good Storyline clean romance
Revisado: 06-03-24
I've only recently come across this author and I've read almost all the books in this series in just a couple of weeks. Her writing flows smoothly and the characters are all fun to follow. This book doesn't disappoint and the narrator is easy to listen to, although I do wish she would lower her voice just a bit more to distinguish the male characters from the female ones. The author tells a good story but still keeps it clean without any sex scenes.

Unrealistic
Revisado: 05-21-24
This story is really unrealistic. Your husband cheats on you, tells you he doesn't love you, and doesn't want to be married anymore, and you want to stay with him! Really? And on top of it you find out your first love wants to be with you and you still want to go back with your cheating husband???? I get the religion part of the book but I just kept thinking.......What is this woman thinking?

Good Story but not so good narrator
Revisado: 03-29-24
The story was decent. A little far fetched for some situations but overall good. The narration could have been better. The main character sounded airy, ditzy, and naive. I know the story was a bit sappy but the narrator made even worse.
