Ok first Ella TWIN SISTER no less was Rapunzel??!! Like wow. Wish the step mother and sisters was more in the story but seeing it was really about Ella I can understand that. The fact that Persephone's son fell in love with a human should not have shocked her or Hades. The sneakiness of Hades did not shock me at all and I wish Persephone threaten him with leaving to save her son or the woman he lived nevertheless I like how the story ended. Now the epilogue left us wanting more I cant find the next book because I need to know how is rumplelstilskin going to be stopped from killing the Prince (now the King) of the Shores to take his throne not to mention his threat to former King as he could not give his brother the cure to take the beast away.

My first black fantasy book!!!

I saw this book on Instagram but never looked into it further until someone was talking about it on Tiktok regarding best Black Fantasy books to read. Once I read the summary and the reviews I had to read it and MAN THIS WAS BETTER THEN THE FIRST Book. I love fantasy and magic and this just enhanced it because she is a woman of color that is the lead in the story. WHERE IS BOOK 3??? I See no pending no nothing I need more info about the 3 book!!!!

Everything you thought a STRONG BLACK MOM would be

Both book 1 and 2 A..MAZ..ING!!! Alice's mom is so my mother saying your whole name when she is angry. Know when you lying letting you continue to speak to hang yourself further in said lie. Best friends who were there for her even through they were mad at her. OMG The twins (Dem & Di) so enjoyed them when they were in play hope they have a bigger role in next book. I really have to go back and listen to when Alice met Hatter because I can not picture him (since I wasn't really listening ) and I just have a creepy vibe with their relationship but that is a personal issue nothing to do with the book. Mattie is another character that I really liked.

*only issue I have is they left things hanging like the necklace the grandmother gave her and being told when not wearing it always keep it in box. I was expecting to find out her grandmother had superpowers or was in Wonderland when she was younger. Also what happen with Chester how did he explain is missing time to his parents, what happen to the whole in his chest? To many unanswered questions. I hope next book (A Crown so Cursed) explains it.

Like the movie better

The movie is what made me look up the books. The first book had my attention on and off but I have to say I enjoyed the Movie more. I am glad they changed the story around a little. I will invest in the next book to see how it goes and hope it is better. I do hope they continue making the books into a movie

Please let there a book 3!!!

The gang is back at it, hilarious as ever and more surprises and new characters that I hope will come back. My favorite character Bogdan is a unoffical member of the Thursday Murders Club and I love the way he became friends and helps Elizabeth with her Husband Stephen. Joyce funnier then ever and shows she is just as smart as Elizabeth AND RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOUR FELL OPEN ONCE YOU HEARD DAME ELIZABETH. Member of MI5 or was if MI6? and a royalty! Look who found love DCI Chris Hudson and she was able to put Elizabeth in her place but as always Elizabeth turned it around and got her way ROFL, hmmm will Donna be calling Chris stepdad in the coming books?? When certain characters died it was sad but I loved how it all turned out in the end another WTH MOMENT. I am sitting waiting patiently for book 3 hope it comes by end of yr or beginning of next yr.

So glad I caught the episode of Graham Norton with author Richard Osman cause I LOVE THIS BOOK! And lets now forget the narration by Lesley Manville going to find what other book she has done. This story just keeps pulling you in deeper and deeper. Joyce is so funny and you can say she was a English Rose from Golden Girls, Elizabeth who can talk people into doing things they never dreamed of doing INCLUDING THE POLICE LOL.... DCI Chris Hudson and PC Donna De Freitas had me rolling when they got to know Elizabeth. Ibrahim and Ron's banter hilarious! So many twist and turns when I picked the person I thought was the killer it turned out to me wrong and when the Killer was revealed it was a SHOCKER. Elizabeth would be most peoples favorite but my favorite is Bogdan.

GEEK IN LOVE..................

I am such a Geek and give all sorts of nicknames to people at work as a Potterhead I been giving Harry Potter names and just recently started using Top Gun for my team. I am Goose and my coworker is Maverick we even have a Charlie so when I heard the author use lines from movies and other geeky sayings I fell out of my seat. I so enjoyed this and could not stop laughing. The only part of the story that pissed me off was when she was scared like get over it already stop freaking out. I hope the remaining books brings the family together, getting book 3 now.

Romance to die for

Ending book one, I had to get book two to find out what happened to Exos and to be introduced to his brother Cyrus! He is more of a pain in the ass then his brother (in a good way) I love how gentle Sol is with her he is my favorite then Cyrus. The nicknames they have for her makes one chuckle (as I am listening while driving) Who knew you have have sex that many times in a day?! Hell I wish that was my life lol again love Sarah Puckett's voice, I have no idea if this is just a hobby / side job she is doing as voice overs I am soooo happy she was chosen to do these series. Wonder how that works? Do the Authors have their favorite narrators? and visa a versa? Cant wait for COVID to be over to go to convention and possibly get a chance to meet the author and narrator. Do they even do conventions? Question for another day.

Intriguing ......pulls you in.

The first time I listen to this book I was intrigued, I never listen/read a reverse harem paranormal romance. I really enjoyed this being narrated by Sarah Puckett her voice is so intoxicating. This had me looking for other books she has narrated and after listening to those I came back to this to finish out my year of 2020. Re-relisting had me annoyed with Clair as she was strong in the beginning not whinny then once she goes to the Fae world she is a cry baby? The romance with the others keep my interest, all the men seem to be sexy in their own way. I find that once you re-listening you start to see the flaws and what irks you the most. Like watching a Movie the second time you caught up in all the action the second time you able to concentrate on other parts of the story. There are some books that I have returned however this will not be one of them, I will be keeping all of these books to listen again and again during this COVID time working from home.
