Historia
The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years: From the Next Generation to J. J. Abrams is an incisive, no-holds-barred oral history telling the story of post-Original Series Star Trek, told exclusively by the people who were there, in their own words - sharing the inside scoops they've never told before, unveiling the oftentimes shocking true story of the history of Star Trek, and chronicling the trials, tribulations, and tribbles that have remained deeply buried secrets until now.

do you like whining.
Revisado: 07-17-24
This is great if you enjoy listening to the shows writers whining about how hard their life was. the narrative is about 85% of that and the rest is sort of interesting. but mostly it is the writers whining about how tough it was... fun (he did sarcastically).

Historia
Sona Movsesian didn’t wake up one day and decide to become the World’s Worst Assistant. Achieving such greatness is a gradual process—one that starts with long hours and hard work before it eventually descends into sneaking low-dosage edibles into your lunch and napping on your boss’s couch.

Sona is the best.
Revisado: 07-19-22
Very enjoyable listen from a very nice, funny woman. Very hard not to like her and Conan on the podcast and this is even more intimate and personal and sometimes very funny and other times very touching.
Good luck in the future and all the best Sona.

Very shallow.
Revisado: 11-18-21
Nothing added from since these stories were Instagram posts... infuriatingly shallow and pointless most of the time but a few very funny/nice stories inbetween and Stephen's reading is always great.

Historia
Ramble Book is about parenthood, boarding-school trauma, arguing with your partner, bad parties, confrontations on trains, friendship, wanting to fit in, growing up in the '80s, dead dads, teenage sexual anxiety, failed artistic endeavours, being a David Bowie fan and how everything you read, watch and listen to as a child forms a part of the adult you become. It’s also an audiobook about the joys of going off topic and letting your mind wander. And it’s about a short, hairy, frequently confused man called Adam Buxton.

Historia
Craig Ferguson has defied the odds his entire life. He has failed when he should have succeeded and succeeded when he should have failed. The fact that he is neither dead nor in a locked facility (at the time of printing) is something of a miracle in itself. In Craig’s candid and revealing memoir, listeners will get a look into the mind and recollections of the unique and twisted Scottish American who became a national hero for pioneering the world’s first TV robot skeleton sidekick and reviving two dudes in a horse suit dancing as a form of entertainment.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Good, if farfetched storytelling, but...
Revisado: 02-27-17
This is overall a good story if a bit too long, and some parts where almost unbearably cringe inducing . Like a totally unnecessary love making scene that seems like it was written by a 14 year old, and a scene with a charity revue at a school that ends with a creme pie fight, it was hard to listen to. I almost gave up at that point but struggled on and I am glad I did, because it gets much better a little later on.
Also the reader has a very nice soothing reading voice but puts on a cornucopia of horrible accents, worst of all which is the "person who starts it all". An important character that towards the end has to do lot of explaining but talks with a sip so I had to listen to that part twice to understand all he was saying.
But for a time travelling story it was surprisingly good.
