In the Valleys of the Earth is the first book in The Watchers series by debut author R.R. Pearl. This is also the first narration I've listened to by John York.

Dr. Alec Coimheed and his best friend Dr. Clemy Armistead are on a dig site looking for artifacts to prove the site was the location of an ancient battle between demons and angels. After finding multiple artifacts, the site is overrun by a group called the New Watchers intent on killing everyone and finding the artifacts themselves to release those imprisoned millennia ago. Rafe and the Praesideum are there to save Alec and Clemy from the dig site and then have them join in the continuing mission of defeating the New Watchers. Rafe and Alec grow closer as they continue their mission.

In the Valleys of the Earth has quite a bit of world building, action, and the start of a romance between Alec and Rafe. Alec is the main character and much of the book is told from his POV. Rafe's character was not as fleshed out as I would have liked though, as he is trying to keep his identity a secret. It will be interesting to see where the author takes him. I liked Clemy's character quite a bit. She was fiercely loyal to Alec while bringing humor and level-headedness to the storyline and situations they find themselves in.

There is a large cast of characters introduced in this book from all parts of the world. Narrator, John York, does a great job of giving each character their own unique voice. I did not really like Clemy's voice - She is described as a southern belle but does not have a matching accent. Though I give lots of credit to the narrator for being able to switch between all of the character voices in conversation easily.

Overall, I'm excited to see where it goes from here the author takes this series. Would recommend this story and narration.

Throne Together is the 3rd book in the Rosavia Royals series but each book can be read in any order. This story by Zoe Dawn is a super sweet and low angst best friends to lovers story between princes.

Prince Dante of Thedes and Prince Julius of Rosavia have been best friends and inseparable since birth, but four years ago, they finished school and went their separate ways. Back together again for the royal ball in Rosavia, they're able to sort out their feelings and figure out the growth from best friends to more.

I enjoyed both of these characters and their coming together storyline. Their interactions were realistic to best friends with inside jokes, favorite places, and always wanting to be in each other's company. They took bits and pieces of each other's countries and meshed them to create a great royal duo.

Kieran Flitton is the perfect person to narrate this series. He does a great job with a enunciation and creating a vague royal accent that isn't specific to any particular country. His narration is easy to listen to and follow. I would recommend this and other stories narrated by Flitton.

Would recommend!

Finch by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly is the third in the Forbidden Desires Spin off series. It is best to have read the others first as there are many family gatherings and drop ins. This book and audio book had me literally rolling with laughter, and I truly have no idea how the narrator contains the laughter in some scenes.... the birthday party anyone?? Michael Ferraiuolo does a great job narrating this story with each of the character's voices and keeping the lightness of the story.

Hugh Drake is a dragon and while he means well, everything he tries tends to go a little sideways. He's a fun character, lovable but a bit clueless. Finch is his secretary of 13 years. He is the jack of all trades for Hugh's household, keeps Hugh together, and is secretly in love with his employer - but he would never tell him as that's improper and Hugh wants a clutch more than anything (or so he believes).

I need more of Sebastian and Peregrine ASAP!!! Also more of the ancient dragons, they're so much fun! Would recommend both the book and audiobook.

4.25* In His Court is the 4th book (of 5) in the Rosavia Royals series. Each book is written by a different author and can be read in any order because they happen at the same time. Would recommend each of the stories. This one was one of my favorites of the whole series, and I'm so glad I read it first (though I wasn't super fond of how Benedict's brothers treated him in the other stories after reading this one - though granted they don't actually "know" him).

Prince Benedict is 4th in line to the throne and a top-secret government agent, and Felix is a genius and valuable asset working with the same government agency. Felix and Benedict together were amazing! Their romance was a pretty slow burn, but in their defense, they had to solve a major crime very quickly. I liked that they worked well with each other and could brainstorm together and work from two sides of the same issue.

Audio by Kieran Flitten: I really liked the narrator's voice for this story and especially Prince Benedict. His voice sounded regal for Benedict, and the emotions and sexy times were well done. Also, I will never not hear the narrator's version of Felix's use the word "as$hole" again ;)

Would recommend the book and audio.

4.5* I loved each of the books when reading them over the last few years, and would recommend the books and audio books having both read and listened to them now. This contains ALL 6 books in the series and a bonus novella at the end - over 37 hours of listening - great value for a single credit!!

Each of these contemporary stories features one of the men in a group of friends and the men they fall in love with. The stories and characters are well written with quirky personalities, and the stories overall do a good job in representing the geography of East Tennessee.

The audio version was well done, and Greg Boudreaux was the perfect narrator for this series. I think one my favorite things about their narration is that you feel immersed in the scenes, especially those during sexy times *fans self*.

Story: 4*
Love Bites has an interesting story line and new take on vampire lore. This is the first book in the series and had a lot of foundation to lay for the next books which made it a bit slower in some parts but was needed. I enjoyed Colin and Talon's relationship and each of their relationships with their brother's and partners. I especially liked Colin's strength and Talon's support of him as the story went on. And their sexy times were hot! I am excited to see where this author duo takes the story from here and really want to see what happens to each of the other brothers, especially Luke!

Narration: 5*
This is the first narration I've heard by John Solo but won't be the last. I liked the voice variation he brought in for each of the characters and it made the story come more to life for me.

Overall: 4.25*
Would recommend and am eagerly waiting for the next in the series!

Fake Daddy/boy romance with a sweet HEA

4.5* Untamed by Carly Marie is a standalone story featuring Rand and Kyle. Fake Daddy/ Boyfriend, Daddy/boy, Friends to Lovers, Age Play romance with an HEA. I loved Kyle and Rand's relationship from the very beginning when they were simply friends and co-workers to the end when they were so much more. It was great to see their dynamic evolve over time without being rushed, and how both of them still worked together even with all of the changes to their personal lives. Kyle's grandmother was amazing. The working relationships and friendships the MCs have with their work crew was so good to see, if a bit unrealistic at times. And Kyle's drama queen moments were great!

Bolton Hill's narration fit this story well. The voice shifts were subtle, and it felt like a Daddy was narrating the story - soothing but with the right amount of funny that makes you laugh or smile in just the right places.

This story was laugh out loud funny with so much love and support between the two main characters and their chosen family and sexy times without being too much. Would absolutely recommend!

Story: Coming Home is the second in the Finding Home Series by Carly Marie. This book follows Ty and Declan in their friends to lovers relationship. These guys have been best friends since they were five, lived next door to each other growing up, and together during and after college. When Declan’s family turns on him when they are in high school, Ty’s family takes him in and shows him what a true family and love should be. Fast forward some years and both guys are successful in their own fields, still living together, and still super close friends. When Declan gets home from his latest deployment, both know they need to stop keeping secrets from each other but have no idea how to tell each other how they feel. I loved how the author brought them together for that first explosive time! I loved how well thought and realistic these characters were. The story flowed well with just the right amount of angst. Their chemistry was intense right from the beginning, and I enjoyed reading about their friendship over the years and how it changed. It was good to see the family and get caught up with Derek and Colt from the first book (DDlb / age play warning for this part of the story).

Narration: I enjoyed Bolton Hill's narration of this story. I liked that he was able to use more of the SoCal accent that Ty would have likely adopted after living there for many years but kept Declan's almost the same as it would have been in Oklahoma.

I cannot wait to hear Jasper's emotional and eye-opening story done in audio!

At Home is the first book in the Finding Home series by Carly Marie. This book focuses on Derek Edwards, the lead singer for a country music band, and Colt Westfield, a small-town sheriff. Colt and Derek’s relationship is based around them being a Daddy and little with some mild ABDL towards the end of the story. I really liked the author’s take on age play, how it could be used in a more realistic way, and how appealing it can be for both Daddies and littles. Their relationship was intriguing and the perfect mix of hot and loving depending on what Derek needed at the time. I also really liked seeing Derek’s relationship with his bandmates and especially his younger brother, Ty, and how open they all are with each other.

I've read the book series a few times and was excited to see this in audio book. I enjoyed Bolton Hill's narration of the two main characters and the side characters and was so glad to hear that he was able to do (or has) a Southern accent to match the characters. I cannot wait to hear his narration for Ty and Jasper's story! Would recommend!

Such a cute story! Laugh out loud funny in parts, with no drama, and an HEA.
Really enjoyed Joel Leslie's narration of this story. It was easy to tell the characters apart, and OMG those steamy scenes were hot in audio!
