Historia
The Scots-Irish were 40 percent of the Revolutionary War army; they included the pioneers Daniel Boone, Lewis and Clark, Davy Crockett, and Sam Houston; they were the writers Edgar Allan Poe and Mark Twain; and they have given America numerous great military leaders, including Stonewall Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, Audie Murphy, and George S. Patton, as well as most of the soldiers of the Confederacy (only five percent of whom owned slaves, and who fought against what they viewed as an invading army).

It was better then the new Disney version!
Revisado: 10-05-22
There were moments where things were redundant and too lengthy but overall it was a much better story then the new hocus pocus movie. I wish disney would have made this version. At least it made sense! Also villains that kill children can not be redeemed and this book did not try to do that. I was worried about the narration due to the reviews but I thought she did fine.

The descriptions really take you there!
Revisado: 09-27-22
This book really had me interested. I saw the ending coming and towards the end the suspence of the reveal was almost painful but I really enjoyed listening to it. The author is very good with descriptions and drawing you into the scenes. I really enjoyed the narrator also. She is very talented. I'm glad I bought this one!

The story is great and the narrator is wonderful. It is very similar to a Stephen King novel but I think I like the way this author writes better. I'd like to see it as a movie or show one day.

it's very repetitive! the narrator is good though. All characters are unlikable. that's all I really have to say about it but it's demanding more words to leave a review.

I love it
Revisado: 07-25-21
I feel like it's a brilliant story. I'm not sure why it's gotten so many negative reviews. It has a poetic vibe to it that I love and is very creative. There are small parts that could have been written better but overall I love it. My only real issue is how much Rhine blames herself for deceiving Lenden. Like come on girl you had every right to do what you did. I suppose I just wish she let him and his father know what they did to her and the other girls a little more instead of being so sorry all the time. Even with that it's a great story.

I love this series so much I come back again and again. Each time I somehow discover something new! I've always been in love with reading but I rarely reread a book however I can't help but to come back to this series. She has such a true talent that she almost ruins all other novels for me. I know everyone has different tastes but I doubt you'll be disappointed with this.
