Ghost is a true life story of counter terrorism that reads like a fictional spy novel. Burton does a great job of keeping dry details interesting. What a great book. I highly recommend it.

Hilariously Insane

You need to go into this book accepting two things. First of all, everything is cranked up to 11. Second, the universe it's taking place in has almost no important rules that don't revolve around insurance. What a crazy, fun, & silly story.

Another Epic Adventure

This is Andy Weir at his best. What delight. I loved the character development, and the epic sense of scale he lent to the central problem. Ray Porter is fantastic, and he really brings the story to life with his pacing and inflections. 10/10

Couldn't Finish It

It's just silly. I wanted to like it, and gave it every chance, but the book comes off as a young adult novel. The overall premise isn't bad, but the execution is just a bit juvenile.

My goodness. Maybe I'm just one of the oppressors, but I couldn't even make it through the introduction. The writing is dense in every sense of the word.

A nice surprise.

What a great suprise this book turned out to be. What initially caught my interest was the western-horror format, but the characters and detail are what kept me glued to the tale. Mr. White has written a great story here, and it left me wanting more. I was also really suprised by the narrator. I've never listened to his work before, but he's great! All in all, I was delighted with this. Totally worth my credit.

Masterful

I'm kind of afraid to write much about this story for fear of spoiling it. This book is just so skillfully written. The writer is clearly "at play" here, and it's just a delight to experience. Wil Wheaton is of course fantastic in his performance, and he really brings life to the characters with his inflections and patterns of speech. I don't write a lot of reviews on Audible, but this story was so good, I felt I had to say something about it.

Some books just never get old no matter how many times you read them. I've gone back to certain scenes numerous times over the years just for the fun of revisiting them. If an audiobook could get worn, my copy of The Martian would be dogeared, dirty, and with the pages taped in placed. I just love this story.

Ridiculous Characters

This story is poorly organized and unintelligent. I spent half the time trying to figure out what was happening, and the other half shaking my head at how silly the chacters were. I typically don't leave negative reviews, but this book is just dumb.
