Very frustrating main character

Lots of people have suffered abuse and abandonment. This character was one of them but she clearly needed Jesus and intensive counseling before a nice Christian guy would have the go-ahead to proceed with pursuing a relationship with her.

Well written story. I enjoyed the narration of all the adult characters . I hope this narrator never voices a child’s part again! Fortunately, the child doesn’t have that much to say in the book.

First of all, the main character is incredibly frustrating. Sure, eventually she sees the error of her ways, but then she just repeats her stupidity over and over again. A novel about paleontology seems an odd place to cover the topic of multiple personality disorder/demon possession. The whole thing was just really creepy! As far as the narration, it was really good with the exception of the man with the “problems”. There is a baby voice used for him. It’s just awful!

The 18-year-old boy storyline did not work for me

While the narrator was pretty good, his voice certainly didn’t work for that of an 18-year-old boy. I found the whole premise of a young man who been through public school in LA all of a sudden, becoming so knowledgeable about the world and politics to be more than a stretch.

I enjoyed learning about the Empress of Ireland, the Thousand Islands and castles in that area and so much more! It was fun to watch all the puzzle pieces come together by the end of the story! Very good narration by Nancy Peterson! I really liked the characters! I will enjoy revisiting this story in the future!
