This author offered some simple advice for functioning with ADHD. She helped me to understand that this is a matter of learning your specific symptoms and then work applying some simple behaviors that can make life easier.

I wish I had read this when I was a teenager. She explains the trauma that I experienced and unfortunately passed on to my own kids. I may have made a more educated choice had I read this book and known this information. Luckily, I am now in a more loving and equal relationship. also, somehow, my daughters turned out to be strong wild women and make better choices.

Life is a like a River comes to mind. This is actually a philosophical experience about life, death and beyond.
I would highly recommend this short read for everyone.

Hard to imagine life as a royal. There appear to be so many lies and deceit. Not to mention, a life devoid of any true love and affection. I’m glad you are courageous enough to break the chains that have bound your family. May your future be filled with love and happiness.

Ms. Obama opens up a new chapter of personal experiences and and amazing insight. She expands on “When they go low - we go higher.” Wish I had some of her’s and her Mother’s advice when I had my children. Such a real and lovely human.

Eye-opening and informative

I was raised Catholic and was a child of incest. I wish my parents were more enlightened and had empowered me more. I am now in my 60’s. I have been thru extensive therapy and am beginning to experience more joy in my life. It’s sad to waste a lifetime. This book may be a helpful tool to help others avoid that. I also appreciated Adrienne’s honesty and learning relatively new-to-me terminology.
