Historia
Titan is the first full-length biography based on unrestricted access to Rockefeller’s exceptionally rich trove of papers. A landmark publication full of startling revelations, the book indelibly alters our image of this most enigmatic capitalist. Born the son of a flamboyant, bigamous snake-oil salesman and a pious, straitlaced mother, Rockefeller rose from rustic origins to become the world’s richest man by creating America’s most powerful and feared monopoly, Standard Oil. Branded "the Octopus" by legions of muckrakers, the trust refined and marketed nearly 90 percent of the oil produced in America.

Wow, I knew this man had been a complicate influence on modern America but…
Revisado: 05-05-21
When I hadn’t realized was how much daily life reflected in the actions of him and his family hundred years ago, especially in the New York City area. All in all a good read, very interesting if a little Soft on the negative impact Of his monopolies

really interesting topic, well told...
Revisado: 07-24-19
Walfman goes deep into a few critical case studies. I might have enjoyed a few more, in particular I would have liked to hear more about early/pre-industrial and another about hyper-modern chip manufacture. Overall, well written with loads of interesting characters... and a critically important topic/concept

Fun and a bit nerdy
Revisado: 10-23-18
Nothing here you need to know unless you are either a die hard apple fan or a coder. That said, it was thoroughly enjoyable, and I came into it a skeptic... I was assuming it was another money grab from someone who was at Apple during the Jobs era

A seemingly honest, well written story of a man (and his team) who changed the world in many ways
Revisado: 01-02-18
I liked the book but it took a while to come around to liking Phil Knight. He and the early Nike folks certainly changed the face of fitness branding ... this is a unapologetic description of the people around the brand.
