I thought I'd give this a chance but it was so predictable. Where is the wounded and bruised prince with a side dish of anti-hero? Can't stand the female narrator's voice. The only thing remotely interesting of this entire book was that fmc was erotic writer. I skipped ½ this book and still knew what was going on.
It's a hard no from me.

The FMC is so pathetic. The second book is so much better. I really can't stand Quin. She's always near to tears I wanted to slap her. For the life of me I can't understand why she took the abuse for years. I can't stand women like that. I skipped so much of this book. What a total waste. Going to return this book.

Why Marnye Young?!?

FFS why replace the previous MFC narrator with Marnye Young? Hector, Ares' accents are terrible. She absolutely spoils the story. I usually try to skip anything that is narrated by her.

Finished it but am disappointed. Felt like it was going on forever. MFC irritating andcnot enough POV from the male characters. Skipped through a lot of this book. Will be returning it. Inner monologuevof FMC drove me up the wall. Wasted credit.

No Scarlett Force...

To be totally honest the MC of this book is just not for me. I find her highly irritating. Her self monologue drove me crazy. Loved the HAVOC series and am loving Scarlett Force but Dakota is pathetic. Give me a FMC who had a hard life, had to fight, who life knocked around, and then got up, be strong and stand her ground.
The guys are okay but they're no HAVOC boys and no Bones.
This series had a lot of potential but it fell short.
I skipped a lot of it. Now, unfortunately I have to buy next one to see how it ends.

Can't stand the mother...

Dakota's bio mother, Tess is bloody awful. She's not even trying to find out who Dakota is as a person. Dakota's entire life has been uprooted, she's alone, sad confused and feels totally out of place. If that woman was my mother I'd let my bio father teach me how to kill and she'd be the first one on my list.
