Lovely tale of Dogs redemption
Revisado: 10-18-24
The authors beloved dog dies and is replaced a bit impulsively, turning her life upside down . If your a dog owner dogs have various temperaments and behaviors this is a well written tale of how the dogs redemption became.a mutual path of love and learning. This is a very easy read I recommend it if you just want something light and enjoyable. Would be a great book for a family to listen too or young adults.

Revisado: 12-24-19
War of the Roses, author does a wonderful job of different POVs of the major players, Henry VI, Margaret of Anjou, Duke of York, and retells this complex crazy period in detail. He really developed the characters more so than anything else I’ve read. This is a great book (series) and if you give this a chance you’ll be well rewarded.

Historia
Set in the vibrant 14th century of Chaucer and the Black Death, the classic romance Katherine features knights fighting in battle, serfs struggling in poverty, and the magnificent Plantagenets - Edward III, the Black Prince, and Richard II - who ruled despotically over a court rotten with intrigue. Within this era of danger and romance, John of Gaunt, the king's son, falls passionately in love with the already married Katherine.

Historia
In 1437, the Lancaster king Henry VI ascends the throne of England after years of semi-peaceful regency. Named "The Lamb," Henry is famed more for his gentle and pious nature than his father's famous battlefield exploits; already, his dependence on his closest men has stirred whispers of weakness at court. A secret truce negotiated with France to trade British territories for a royal bride - Margaret of Anjou - sparks revolts across English territory.

An instant New York Times best seller, Dan Lyons' "hysterical" (Recode) memoir, hailed by the Los Angeles Times as "the best book about Silicon Valley," takes listeners inside the maddening world of fad-chasing venture capitalists, sales bros, social climbers, and sociopaths at today's tech startups. For 25 years Dan Lyons was a magazine writer at the top of his profession - until one Friday morning when he received a phone call: Poof. His job no longer existed. "I think they just want to hire younger people," his boss at Newsweek told him.

Disrupted - - True Tales Inside The IT Bubble Too Little Too Late
Revisado: 04-10-16
What a great story. I am 60 plus and worked in IT since 1985 and aged out at 59 ..worked in the first Internet bubble 1999 for a Startup Software company had the IPO so traveled the same road and I love this work. This is accurate and funny, the devil is in the details and Dan gets these perfectly. Dan Lyons provides a more important act by putting a spotlight on the 'Disruptive' results of the culture where
internal bias's in employment practices are harmful. With a confident voice and a sense of humor Dan relates the situation from his experience POV in such an interesting and intelligent way that I am recommending this and highly rated it.

The only reason I can't give this a higher rating is the annoying portrayal of Henry Tudor Its probably well done but he was such a jerk in the relationship I have to downgrade the whole experience! Otherwise a fun sequence
