Historia
"I come from a long line of idiots." Those were the last words his father uttered before dying, and from what he knew of his family tree and the unfortunate end that came to so many of his ancestors, Del Honeycutt couldn't disagree. What he didn't know was that his family held dark secrets - secrets that were about to come crashing down upon him. A seemingly innocent date gone tragically wrong plunges Del into a web of murder, lies, greed, and a hidden fortune.

Average story with below average performance
Revisado: 02-02-18
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
For me, the narrator lacked emotion and dramatic performance. The story was average with an unrealistic, all too neat ending, but could have been made better by a different narrator.
Would you recommend All Lies to your friends? Why or why not?
Would not recommend except perhaps as a printed read. The story is too clean, too tied up. The ending was just too unrealistic. Would be OK as a quick mindless read, but not worth listening too for hours.
What didn’t you like about Greg Hernandez’s performance?
Totally lacked emotion. I felt like I was listening to a high school student being forced to read a story in front of class. No inflection, no dramatic emphasis, no differentiation between characters. Every word was enunciated perfectly, but that’s not how real people talk. He has substituted a perfect reading for what should have been a dramatic performance. I will avoid other works narrated by him.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Very little reaction because of the flat narration.
