need a season 3
Revisado: 03-30-24
Just like the first season, acting was top notch and the story excellent. This definitely needs a 3rd season for sure! Only 1 little nitpick.... at times with the female actresses, it's kinda hard to know who's speaking as they speak in a similar tone voice.

something different
Revisado: 03-25-24
I got this title, and the second part, for free on audible plus. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with this one. On the one hand it's your "typical" end of world/ apocalypse story, but at the same time it's not. Instead of zombies or creatures like THE LAST OF US, or something similar, it's vampires. It's a world where vampires have always existed. Thanks to an asteroid crashing to earth and causing a never ending winter and darkness, vampires have come out of hiding to rule the world. The story is unique, something different and the acting is top notch! From writing this review, I'm going straight into the second part!!

Historia
Eva Kavinsky wakes in a dark cellar, with no memory of how she got here. Imprisoned with her, seemingly at random, are four men. The only way out is the trapdoor in the ceiling – and it's locked. The single clue about what brings them all here is a cryptic message sprayed onto one wall. Connect the dots. Repent. A camera fixed high above reach is livestreaming this whole nightmare to the world. What confessions are they meant to make to their unseen audience?

a bit cliché, but keeps you guessing
Revisado: 03-23-24
Very decent story that keeps you guessing, but it does have some cliche elements that you find in generic thriller type stories like this one. Narration was on point, especially from the person that did Eva. She did all the voices from the other characters and managed to make each one stand out.

Historia
In the summer of 1985, a brilliant young British DNA scientist Helena Greenwood is found murdered in her front garden in a quiet suburb in California. The police believe they know the killer’s identity but there’s no evidence against him, and the only thing linking him to the crime is the fact he’d been charged with sexually assaulting Helena just a few months previously.

decent story, but no conclusion
Revisado: 03-21-24
In general the story was decent enough, but in the end there's no conclusion. This writer/ investigative journalist keeps flipping between GUILTY and NOT GUILTY depending on what she hears or "discovers ". In the end you're left with a feeling of unfullfillment.. like she spent almost 40 years on that case and in the end there's nothing.... also, as some people pointed out, the background music is very annoying. Especially that out of tune sounding guitar... what's that?? That's supposed to create more tension? Just like her narration...she always sounds hopeful, surprised, like some big reveal is coming... or just plain out of breath...

Historia
If my childhood taught me anything, it was to survive. Now I have a deep-rooted mistrust of people and a wall of steel and ice surrounding my heart. So, when Reed Ryan steps into my life, I know I need to keep him far away. He’s everything I grew up hating. Fighting. Fleeing. Devastatingly handsome, he looks like a drunken regret and has heartbreak written over every inch of his body - literally. He’s the quintessential bad boy...and he’s a cop. But the man is my undoing.

wasted potential
Revisado: 11-24-23
The story in general is good, and has a lot of potential, but it seems to me that a lot of that potential just got wasted. Emma is a weak, stupid (she had to do research on someone who's clearly autistic, to make sure that person was not autistic...) main character that just self projects on everyone around her. She hears one bad thing about someone she's starting to trust and instead of talking to that person, she just goes by hearsay to validate her first opinion of the person she supposedly starts falling for. The narrators aren't bad, but at times ready their parts in a very breathy way (like the female narrator keeps prolonging the A sound.... instead of just saying EMMA she goes EMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. instead of just saying LALA it's LAAAALAAAAAAAAAAHHHH.... might be a small thing, but it bothered me.

good performance, predictable story
Revisado: 11-02-23
It was a nice short story, but predictable. The performances were good. One tip, use headphones as there's a lot of echo. Just playing it through the phone speaker isn't ideal, but using headphones makes it better

interesting, but a bit pompous
Revisado: 10-17-23
While interesting in general, the doctor who wrote the book at times comes across a bit pompous and egotistical, as he somehow always seems to be able to make the right call and diagnosis. The narrator did an excellent job of telling the story in such a way that had you believe it was actually HIS story.

slow paced, but great listen
Revisado: 09-21-23
I got this book for free through the audible plus catalog. As I usually do, I select books books from audible plus based on the title (seeing how they are free, I usually tend to get several of them in one go and listen to them whenever). I honestly didn't know of the story or that there was a movie. Based on the title I assumed it would be a scary story. Instead, I found a nice slow paced story of a byegone era. I enjoyed it all the way through and thought the narrator did an excellent job in portraying all the characters.

When Harry meets Peter, it’s both of their lives that will change, when they invent an app for murder.

cool short story
Revisado: 09-15-23
Though it's just a short book, it feels longer (but in a good way) cause of the way its written. Some things might click a little too easy, but in general it's a cool story with a nice twist. The narration was excellently done, and each character felt alive. 5 stars all the way

not what I expected, but better
Revisado: 09-14-23
I usually choose (the books that come with audible plus) a book based on it's title. If the title does something for me, I'll download the book and give it a listen. With this one I was expecting (seeing how it's audible original, and going by the cover) a sappy romcom type thing, in the line of CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY. But I was surprised to find a genuine, decent, spy/ who dunnit type of story (though not high standard like an actual James bond or Sherlock Holmes novel). I've enjoyed every moment of it and thought it fit well. Narration was very decent and I enjoyed the male/ female character narration/ perspective of the story.
