Wings of Fire: The Lost Heir by Tui. T. Slutherland is about a young SeaWing dragonet named Tsunami. After growing up in a cave for the past 6 years, she and her friends - The Dragonets of Destiny - have escaped their cave prison that they hatched in. Now that they’re free, they’ve discovered who their parents are and Tsunami’s mother turns out to be the SeaWing queen, Coral. Tsunami dives into the ocean, right into the wings of her overjoyed mother. However it’s not what she imagined the Sea Kingdom looking about, instead of dolphins playing harps and seahorses playing flutes, an unknown assassin has been killing off the queen’s daughters for years, crushing their eggs before they had time to draw in their first breaths. Tsunami’s friends are imprisoned by the SeaWings, like Queen Scarlet. But even worse, she can’t see them! However, a strange dragon attempts to murder Tsunami, and Tsunami isn’t as safe as she thought, given she’s a princess. However things get even worse when one of the 3 sisters - Blister, the middle child and smartest - pays a visit to her SeaWing owl-eyes. It turns out that Tsunami’s one surviving sister - Anemone - is an animus, and Queen Coral and Blister are forcing her to use her powers as their “Secret Weapon” to end the war. The narrator is amazing, she has such good voices for each character, and I think she does an amazing job at putting personality into the character. I feel like they gathered an entire cast to create this even though it’s just one person. The writing style is out of this world, however I must warn you that in fighting or death scenes, the book gets a little descriptive about it and might give some gory detail that might effect younger listeners. The book also has a lot of ongoing violence and some subjects that may be a little deep for younger viewers: Such as sexual situations, gory topics, and others. Other than that, this book is amazing!

Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Destiny is the first book of a series following the perspective of a young MudWing dragonet who is hatched with four others, to stop a war among all six tribes that live on Pyrrhia. The former SandWing queen, Queen Oasis, was killed by a scavenger who stole all of her treasure. She left three daughters behind, each had their own flaws and flights. Burn, the eldest of Oasis’s three daughters was a strong and reckless SandWing, if she ever won the war, she’d most likely keep the war going for fun. Blister, the middle sister of Burn, is a malicious and cunning SandWing. If she won the war, she’d probably conquer all the other tribes. And lastly, Blaze, the youngest of Oasis’s daughters, was a beautiful and silly SandWing. She also tends to be rather idiotic. If she won the war, she’d probably always be handing SandWing territory to the other tribes. It was Blister’s idea to start the war, Burn sided with the MudWings and SkyWings, Blister with the SeaWings, and Blaze aligned herself with the IceWings. The tribes had been at war for many years, but then a NightWing named Morrowseer presented a prophecy: When the war has lasted 20 years, the dragonets will come, when the land is soaked in blood and tears, the dragonets will come. Find the SeaWing egg of deepest blue, Wings of Night shall come to you. The largest egg in the mountain high, will give to you the Wings of Sky. For Wings of Earth search through the mud, for an egg the color of dragon blood. And hidden alone from the rival queens, the SandWing egg awaits unseen. Five eggs to hatch on the Brightest Night, five dragonets to born to end the fight, darkness will rise to bring the light, the dragonets are coming… The wings of sky this prophecy mentions was lost, as Hvitur, the JceWing who got the egg, was caught by Burn and killed, along with the egg being destroyed. Webs, one of the dragons who raised these dragonets, went to get an egg to replace their lost SkyWing. He couldn’t get another SkyWing egg, so he went to the rainforest and got a RainWing egg. RainWings are the only tribe that wasn’t involved in the war, and there is a saying “Lazy RainWings”. RainWings have never been seen before, except for in the prophecy. Kestrel and Dune, the two other dragons who raised these dragonets, tortured Glory since she hatched, especially Kestrel. They wanted to make sure she knew that she wasn’t part of the prophecy. Eventually, they plot to kill Glory, but the dragonets escape from the cave and right into the talons of the SkyWing queen, Queen Scarlet. Now, the SkyWing queen wasn’t exactly a fair ruler, she imprisoned the dragonets on sky towers with a hundred others, forcing them to fight other dragon’s to the death. However, they manage to escape and fly away to find Tsunami’s mother, the queen of the SeaWings. ~ That is my book report for “Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy” by Tui T. Sutherland.

It was so sad at times, like when Isabel wasn’t crowned Queen of the May, when they had to leave Aboolita, and Esperanza’s uncles made me so mad it made me want to punch through my roof! But it was so happy at times like when Aboolita was able to come to America, when Esperanza gave Isabel her yarn doll. And Marta also made me MAD, but she turned out okay. At times I literally cried, whether it was for happiness or sadness, and I’m the kind of person who NEVER cries. If I had to rate it, I’d give an 10000000000000000/10.

Firestar’s death was so sad!😭 😢 😭 But he died like a true warrior, striking the blow that ended Tigerstar forever. I also grieve for Mousefur and Ferncloud and all the other cats who were lost in this battle!

This was a heartwarming story about Bluestar, from when she first opened her eyes, to when she received her 9 lives. It was heartwarming in some of the scenes of her and Oakheart. But also heartbreaking in the scenes where she gave up her kits, and where Moonflower and Snowflower died. Who was your least favorite character and why? Who was your favorite character and why? What was your favorite scene and why? Which Clan is your favorite and why? What would you want your warriors name to be? Here are my answers to these questions: Thistleclaw and Tigerclaw were my least favorites, Thistleclaw because he tried to kill Oakheart and well… He and Tigerclaw are kinda evil. Bluestar was my favorite because she sacrificed so much to become leader! Her story is heartbreaking. My favorite scenes were Bluestar receiving her 9 lives and when the squirrel fell on top of her when she was a kit! That was hilarious! My favorite Clan is RiverClan because of their swimming, but also ThunderClan because they pretty much the main Clan. And if I were a warrior (well, medicine technically), I’d want to be called Blossomfoot. Bye!👋

Anne of Green Gables is a heartwarming story about an orphan girl who lives a live in Green Gables with Marilla and Mathew. I laughed and cried along with this book, for Anne is such the chatterbox (reminds me of when I was young). Anne makes friends and frenemies in her life at Green Gables, it’s hilarious how she was so pleased when she fainted in that one chapter where she breaks her ankle. Anne of Green Gables is a lovely book you should read with your family! Note to author if she ever gets it: Dear Lucy, stay strong and write more books, you are the author I dreamed of being as a kiddo, and I would give my everything to write such a great book like Anne of Green Gables, Love Ellen.

The book overall earns a 10/10 rating, but McLeod Andrews makes it even better! I loved Darktail’s voice! I will start talking about spoilers below, so beware my friends!

G

Ok, so, I loved the brave act of Needletail dying for Violetpaw. And I’m still getting my head around the fact that Onestar is Darktail’s father?! And somehow Onestar dies killing his own son?! And it was sad that Twigpaw and Violetpaw’s mother is dead, but they still have Hawkwing! 10/10 Father if you ask me… It infuriates me though to see all those ShadowClan cats who believe Darktail is right!!! Those sniveling mouse-brains! Bye! 😘 Love from Ellen!

Out of all the 80+ books, this is my favorite. Now, I will write some things that include spoilers below so be warned!

Hehe, you came down here, anyways, so, Willowshine’s death was really sudden and a little creepy… And Ashfur dragging Squirrelflight into the pool… *shiver* That was terrifying… But great book! Note to Erin Hunter if she ever gets it: Dear Erin Hunter, stay strong, write more books, and make them just as good as this one! Your first fan.
