No seriously, I skipped through the last ten chapters.
It's word vomit of a medical textbook. That's the best way I can put it without spoiling anything.
IT IS DRY, and boring...
I love the series I pray this is just groundwork for the great things that got me this far into it.
Also everything before that last bit was solid, not as high action but it was still good story up until then when it stopped being story and started being... ugh...

Something positive: It's a great value for the length vs. price.
Now the negatives... Without spoilers.

-- an insufferable narcissist, and borderline emotional abuser.
-- His dialogue is definitely suited to a gamer, just a 13 year old one, not thirty something widower...
-Finally the performance
-- I did not personally enjoy it, however my disgust at the mc likely colors that so take this with a grain of salt.
I honestly only finished this because I couldn't refund it, but it was not easy...
