Fascinating read about

I enjoyed this in it's entirety. well written and the details of each short story held my attention completely. Im not particularly sensitive to mispronouncing...but the reader substitutes "D" for "T". padent (patent) liddle (little) and it takes a little time to overlook it and not focus on it.

well narrated listen into the lives of three of the most widely celebrated legends of this age. The details are always amazingly researched, as are all of the "killing" books. While Killing Jesus is still my favorite, all of the books are "must" reads.

Sadly damaged son

Harry (as expected) is gravely damaged by the death of his mother and the trappings of his life he was born into. The limelight, and bothersome life of being " readily known" has always plagued celebrities. Being a child of such celebrity, it comes with an upside, which his brother embraces, and a downside where Harry is. There are some things in this book that might we'll have been left alone. Siblings fight. That's a fact in all families. One should come away, hoping he will quietly go into the life he wants..a quiet one. His brother will step up to the place HE was born into as well. Wish them all well.

A Real story, by a real person. nobody's victim

Most impressed with his OWN narration. It made me understand his life better when he read it himself. His story is a testament to fatherless boys that determination will win if there are angels in a kid's life...even if for just a little while. Good listen.

I loved the forensic detail. I wanted all those details as I followed the story back in the day. it easy to see now how public opinion can sway even the most compelling defense. might be boring for someone who isn't interested in this much detail. I, however, thought it thorough and interesting.

to remain faithful to God and one's belief system is character telling. Only a strong, quiet resistance was able to stop the voice of the unreasonable Hitler. a telling book on how these things CAN happen...even to us in today's world.

Matthew holds your attention in a funny and memorable story of his life....it wasn't so easy, but he learned lessons from every obstacle. highly reccomend.

long and tedious

this book is one of those that has a lot of players and all of their stories mixed in. You really shouldn't get distracted while listening as I often do. it is decent period story that jumps often to present day. I had to back up a lot with "wait what?". Sorry I couldn't give it a high mark..but in a listening book it's very hard to flip back and refresh what's going on with different characters, like it is in reading form. it's a very long book so good luck.

This book is well read and is captivating clear through. thoroughly enjoyed this mystery. Though most people know this story from the news reports, the details bring to light many cautions that often go dismissed.
