I didn’t love some of the more violent, graphic triggers in this one, but the narration was excellent. This one wasn’t my cup of tea, and I struggled to stay with the book until the end.

It just didn’t hold my interest at all. The story line left a lot to be desired, and the chemistry between the characters was lacking. The people who read the story did a great job, it was just the story itself that was lacking.

I had high hopes for this serious, based on some of the good reviews, but I just could not get into this one at all. It is set in South Africa, and the book itself can be difficult to follow.

The racist comments throughout the story also really sullied the entire book for me.

Excellent read!

This audiobook was so enjoyable and fun to listen to! The story captures your attention right away and maintains it throughout the entirety. I loved it so much, I’m excited to check out more from this author!

The only suggestion I have is that I really didn’t enjoy the male narrator voicing the woman’s part of the story. His voice was so masculine (and perfect for the male character), that I found it difficult to listen in parts when he transitioned back to Nadine in the story line, especially for the more steamy scenes. A double narration with both a male and a female voice for those parts would have been more suited to this.

I really enjoyed the entire series

I really enjoyed this entire series. It was interesting and the author did a great job really creating an entire world, and transporting you to that setting. The characters were good; I wish that there were more romance development in the character relationships though.

I really tried to give this book a solid chance, I listened for 5 chapters, and just could not get past the awful narration. I’m sure the narrator is a lovely person, but the narration itself is just…bad. It was so hard to listen to. The fake, Southern accent is so forced, and just very unattractive. Instead of bringing me into the story, it made the story difficult to listen to. (This is coming from a Southerner.) The narrator makes Marcus sound like a very elderly man, instead of a sexy, Southern lawyer/dom. Just, no. :/

This was so fun to listen to! Billie Joe is my favorite singer, it was so nice to hear more of his story and to have him narrate too. He definitely left me wanting to listen to more!

Awful! Horrifically Abusive and Disturbing.

Pass on this one. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started listening, but it became so disturbing I’ve decided to return this title.

I love a good BDSM read, but this is beyond safe or sane. The man literally had this woman’s molar teeth removed, brands and scars her, and has her THUMBS removed! Her THUMBS! He makes her have surgery on her feet so she permanently has to walk on her toes like a horse, and dehumanizes her by removing part of her hair, so she is more horse-like.

It’s one thing to have a fetish- it’s another thing to amputate people’s appendages for fun. This book is disturbing and not one I’d recommend.
