I thought that this book was good but also not great at the same time. One thing that I really disliked was the excess of sex. I also would have preferred some kind of warning for sexual abuse, as that came as a surprise. Although I believe that this is a strong story, I think that a lot of it jumped around and there was some unnecessary details.

I was not a huge fan of the time skips or the ambiguity of Selene’s brothers. I also would have liked something more in the end of the story rather than just a promise of what was to come. I hope that the sequel will bring that about.
