Ok so I loved the story, not so much Joe hempel

As you can probably read all the other reviews and see what the story is about, it's great. Hands down. Terrifying. About as terrifying as part 1. More than part 2.
My only regret and please try to understand where I'm coming from here.
It's not the audio production. He doesn't screw up or anything. And granted he's better than a lot of other narrators. I just personally find his voice too sing songy. Or too happy go lucky. For instance at the very end... That part sounded much too happy for what it was. He could have made it more serious. I'm struggling to find the words but I just wasn't scared for edgar a lot because he never sounded scared or anything. His voice or reading is just too happy sounding ALL THE TIME. But I guess he's pretty popular so I guess we'll be hearing from him again. I just wish ambrose would change it up and find someone else. Because hes my go to for stuff that really scares me, but Joe hempel just sounds way too happy and self asssured to be relatable or enjoyable for a horror novel.

Scared the hell out of me. Creeped me out good. Something about this story really got under my skin. Maybe it was my natural aversion to crawl spaces. Or my fear of being buried alive. Or creepy spider people. I really wish the author had more on audible. It was a great idea.

I just wish he had more of his work on audible. This was such a nice, tight, little concise novella. I really felt myself there. Its not just the descriptions but the choice of words and thoughts. The reflections and the tone. The narrator was a perfect match for the book. I really really wish this author had more work on here.

You wouldn’t think events happening years apart, at points in the solar system hundreds of millions of miles distant, would have anything to do with each other. When she was six, Daphne was taken into a neighbor’s tool shed and came within seconds of never coming out alive. Most of the scars healed. Except for the one that went all the way through. You wouldn’t think that the serial murders of children and the one who got away would have any connection with the strange fate of one of Jupiter’s moons.

This was really good. I was totally on board to find out what happened and everything! Soooo sad haha. I wanted more.
But it was great! Scary & intriguing, it had that childhood dream vibe to it (if that makes any sense lol). I loved this. A ton of fun.

The only thing im wondering at this point, is why doesnt this man do more SCP promotional codes for reviews. The first was pretty good. But we have no clue of the other books. I see there are maybe four or five. Why not do two more promotional review requests so we can see if the rest are as good as the first. To speak more directly about this collection of short scp stories here; pretty good. pretty creepy. I do very much enjoy the audio accompanying the stories. I think its music if im not mistaken. Tbh i might be in the minority here but i enjoy when i hear the sound effects of things going on in the story. It really helps me to visualize whats going on that much better. So yea, this is a very cool book. My only gripe I guess you could call it, would be the run time. Too short! Much more would be needed for me to give it a 5 star.
