Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Historia
Dava Shastri, one of the world's wealthiest women, has always lived with her sterling reputation in mind. A brain cancer diagnosis at the age of seventy, however, changes everything, and Dava decides to take her death—like all matters of her life—into her own hands. Summoning her four adult children to her private island, she discloses shocking news: in addition to having a terminal illness, she has arranged for the news of her death to break early, so she can read obituaries lauding her work. Instead, her "death" reveals devastating secrets she thought she had buried forever.

Makes you think
Revisado: 02-09-22
It took some time to get into the book, but when I did, I loved to learn about each of the characters, the secrets that unfolded, and the relationship repairing that was necessary for the protagonist to actually leave an impactful legacy. Loved the writing and got to the point where I couldn’t put it down. You know it’s a good book when you are done and you are still thinking about it!
