Truly awful
Revisado: 04-04-23
I couldn’t finish this! The book is padded with an entirely fictitious “relationship between Emily Roebling and P T Barnum.
And it just ran on and on!!! And the reader was pathetic. She pronounced the word “row” when used to describe a disagreement the way you would pronounce the word row to describe a row in a theater. She also mangled many other words, like settee, valise and divan. That’s no big deal for anyone other than a professional reading a book. Don’t waste your time with this!!!

Stranded on the side of a country road with a broken-down car, Rorie Campbell is grateful when horse rancher Clay Franklin comes to her rescue. Stuck in the quirky small town, Rorie gets to know Clay, and she quickly starts to fall for the gruff, tough cowboy. Can a city girl make it work with a country man? Kate Logan is understandably devastated when her former fiancé marries someone else instead. At the wedding, after one glass of champagne, she spontaneously—foolishly—proposes to her longtime friend Luke Rivers. And Luke agrees.

Worst self help book ever!
Revisado: 01-25-22
This book is unedited, horribly repetitious, and a constant ad for the author’s supplement company. If you took everything she recommends you would be spending your longer life taking a million supplements.

Here is the story of Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, who, from her place in the store, watches carefully the behavior of those who come in to browse, and of those who pass on the street outside. She remains hopeful that a customer will soon choose her. Klara and the Sun is a thrilling book that offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator, and one that explores the fundamental question: What does it mean to love?

Reader was pretty pitiful
Revisado: 03-14-21
Don’t audiobooks have editors who listen to them before they’re released? At least you would think the author would. This pitiful reader pronounced brassiere as brasserie so I guess she doesn’t know the difference between a lady’s undergarment and a French style restaurant. Her delivery was flat and so slow that I had to speed it up. I suspect I’d have enjoyed the book more if the reader had been competent.

Historia
1941. Audrey Coltrane has always wanted to fly. It's why she implored her father to teach her at the little airfield back home in Texas. It’s why she signed up to train military pilots in Hawaii when the war in Europe began. And it’s why she insists she is not interested in any dream-derailing romantic involvements, even with the disarming Lieutenant James Hart, who fast becomes a friend as treasured as the women with whom she flies. Then one fateful day, she gets caught in the air over Pearl Harbor just as the bombs begin to fall, and suddenly, nowhere feels safe.

Worst reader ever.
Revisado: 06-23-20
The subject matter attracted me but the characters were so poorly developed and the storyline was so shallow and repetitive that I almost didn’t finish the book. And there were ridiculous historical errors indicating that the author didn’t bother to research what daily life was like during WWII in the US. For example, the author writes that the American population would get their war information from television broadcasts! TV was not widely available until the 1950s. Finally, the reader’s accent and breathy reading style was incredibly irritating. Don’t waste your credit!

Historia
Twenty-five years after her passing, Audrey Hepburn remains the most beloved of all Hollywood stars, known as much for her role as UNICEF ambassador as for films like Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Several biographies have chronicled her stardom, but none has covered her intense experiences through five years of Nazi occupation in the Netherlands. According to her son, Luca Dotti, "The war made my mother who she was."

Revisado: 02-22-20
The reader was way too dramatic but maybe she was trying to give some life to a book that was terribly repetitive. Subject matter would have been an interesting article but doesn’t hold up as a book.
