Five Stars for total entertainment!

This is a great story! The narrator is fantastic with the right emotions, timing, and best of all, humor, as great as Tom Hanks. The story is pure science fiction but it felt not very far from reality because the time frame is possibly today or 50 years from now. Science geeks will love this story. I was a little lost sometimes with the math and chemistry but it did not disrupt my understanding of the story. As I started the last chapter, I was worried about the ending being a downer but the author handled it brilliantly. Cannot wait for movie magic to debut Rocky!!!

Unexpected Good Story

What made the experience of listening to The Mystery Box the most enjoyable?
The story is very worthy of reading, but the narrator is definitely not appropriate.
The events take place in Texas and the narrator did not attempt any Texas accent, but her voice was so very New Jersey/New York. Her narration was always getting in the way of the story interpretation of all the characters involved. I almost stopped the book because of the narration, but I am glad I stuck with it to hear the whole story which took an unexpected direction.
