Historia
A tense, gripping psychological thriller, with Hitchcockian overtones, perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn, Sophie Hannah and Rosamund Lupton. Lara Finch is living a lie. Everyone thinks she has a happy life in Cornwall, married to the devoted Sam, but in fact she is desperately bored. When she is offered a new job that involves commuting to London by sleeper train, she meets Guy and starts an illicit affair. But then Lara vanishes from the night train without a trace.

As always it wouldn’t be the same without Imogen’s performance. It was lighthearted and I appreciated the accurate descriptions of Paris. I found the characters relatable as well.

So good
Revisado: 07-20-21
Very good. Creepy and suspenseful although I kept being amazed how clueless she was but real people sometimes are that idiotic. Still it was such a good listen and I’ve been waiting for something that’s not the same old “The Girl….” genre.

I was dissatisfied with the ending. It almost felt as if the story went on with out me. Like they continued to tell it but not to me...like it didn’t end

Historia
When debut novelist Eliza Fontaine is found at the bottom of a hotel pool, her family at first assumes that it’s just another failed suicide attempt. But Eliza swears she was pushed, and her rescuer is the only witness. Desperate to find out who attacked her, Eliza takes it upon herself to investigate. But as the publication date for her novel draws closer, Eliza finds more questions than answers. Like why are her editor, agent, and family mixing up events from her novel with events from her life? Her novel is completely fictional, isn’t it?

Loved
Revisado: 12-25-18
I loved everything about this book, from the storyline to the way it was written and narrated to the way it ended. It was a good thriller without all the spousal abuse. The characters were relatable and I liked them all. The descriptions were rich and drew me right in. Everything about it was enjoyable.

Historia
Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty in her floral-print dresses and extra efficient at her low-level job. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes - meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven. But plain Jane is hiding something. And Steven’s bringing out the worst in her.

You will be disappointed I promise
Revisado: 11-06-18
Please, Sarah dont narrate anymore books. She somehow managed to make all the characters, except the main one, sound mentally disabled. I almost couldn’t stand it but I wanted to know what happened. Dude don’t bother. The end is not worth sitting through her idiotic portrayal of the characters. Plus all I could see was her face because no matter what, she always sounded like her character April on Grey’s Anatomy. Forget the credit, don’t waste your precious time.

Historia
On a day that begins like any other, Hal receives a mysterious letter bequeathing her a substantial inheritance. She realizes very quickly that the letter was sent to the wrong person - but also that the cold-reading skills she's honed as a tarot card reader might help her claim the money. Soon, Hal finds herself at the funeral of the deceased...where it dawns on her that there is something very, very wrong about this strange situation and the inheritance at the center of it. Full of spellbinding menace and told in Ruth Ware's signature suspenseful style, an addictive thriller.
